...and the full roster has finally been released. theres a somewhat surprising dearth of guards, which is great for charles getting some minutes.

From that roster, it says Lee was born on 11/11/84. Is that correct? If so, he was a year younger than most of the recently graduated seniors.

Yes, he is young for his class, but here it is from his BU web-site bio as well.
"son of Charles Sr. and Jennyfer Lee ... born November 11, 1984 in Washington, D.C. ... "

With 16 or 17 on the roster, the odds may not be good. It appears that a lot of these summer teams roster extra guys just for pre-season scrimmages or possible injuries.

One thing I like about these box scores...Check out the PF column. I assume that's personal fouls. Three of the starters for San Antonio had at least 6. Rich Metzler with 7, and Ian Mahinmi with 8! I guess they don't foul guys out in these games.

Finally some PT and good numbers from Charles 07-19-06 01:50 AM - Post#21170
In response to pjm_hoops
In today's loss, Charles Lee saw 15:37 of playing time and put up some pretty good numbers: 2-4 on 2-pointers, 0-1 on 3-pointers, 4 points, 2 rebounds, 1 assist, 2 steals, and 1 block. Considering that San Antonio only scored 61 points, it was a good effort for Charles.

Charles received another DNP for the Spurs' game against Dallas. I believe there is one game remaining.
Currently, when you log onto the Spurs' Web site, Charles is in the main photo. That is nice to see.

and congratulations to charles on an outstanding (save free throw shooting) performance in sixth and final summer league game!
in 18:42 of play off the bench charles scored 10 points, going 4-5 from the floor, 1-1 from beyond the arc and 1-4 from the line. he added an assist, a block and FOUR steals while committing only one turnover and one foul.

Charles' stats for the two games he played, equivalent to a bit less than 1 full game:
36 minutes, 6-11 FG's, 1-2 on 3's, 2 rebounds, 2 assists, 6 steals, 3 turnovers, 2 blocks, 14 points.
His numbers were clearly better than some of the starters.

three games, but yep. and a spurs fan seems to feel that even his game was clearly better than some of the starters:
Quote:
Saunders on the other hand was the best player on the court. The only other guy I would probably even consider inviting to camp is Lee (sorry don't remember his first name) he reminds me of Stephen Jackson in both his physical build and game.
