Bucknell men lead the indoor championship meet. Nick Lombardo won both the high jump and long jump. Freshman Drew Dorflinger won the 5000 with Luke Giugliano 4th. Will Carter took 2nd in the long jump and qualified for the final in the 60 and 200. I expect Navy and Army to make a surge tomorrow, but it would be great to hang on to 3rd ahead of Lehigh and Boston.
The women sit in 2nd behind Lehigh with Boston in 3rd. Boston will make up a lot of ground in the sprints and hurdles. It will be up to our distance and mid-distance kids to balance that out. Kaitlin Salisbury took 5th in the long jump, has the fastest qualifying time in the 60 and also qualified for the 200 final. But Boston has 5 of the top 6 times in the 200. Should be a close meet.
Women take back the PL title from Boston on their home track. Great balance as the Bison scored in every event. Kaitlin Salisbury wins the rookie of the meet after winning the 60 and scoring in the 200, LJ, & TJ.
The men hung on for 3rd all day with some clutch performances only to have Boston jump past them in the last event. On the bright side, Drew Dorflinger won rookie of the meet and Nick Lombardo won field event athlete adding 3rd in the triple jump to his wins in the HJ & LJ. Will Carter had a great meet finishing 3rd in the 200 and scoring in the 60 to go with his 2nd in the LJ.
