The more I look at the quality of the OOC the more I think we could take some real lumps. I say this while still being the far and away favorite in PL play. Ball State and Siena are very good teams and I had those as sure wins before I really focused on them.

Husky, I agree. There are very few sure wins on this schedule. Personally, I took a guess at the likelihood that the Bison would win each game, added up the percentages, applied some magic mojo, and came up with a total nujmber of wins. This has been my tried and tested "scientific method" throughout the years.

It is going to be a difficult OOC schedule, but hopefully, there will be several highlights that make it onto ESPN!

I see no games in which we can be called a heavy favorite, and certainly we are the underdog in most. I came out with 5.5 wins and rounded up. If that happens (.500), it would have to be considered a very successful ooc.

Man, this is a tough crowd. You underestimate how good this team can be. They will win more OOC games than they lose.

I had 5 and think 7 at the outside. It is probable we will have one stinker and lose to someone we shouldn’t. Conversely, I like our chances at Maryland and Arkansas.

Its an ambitious OOC schedule. 9 away games and 3 home games will be grueling in itself and most of the teams we are playing are very good. This schedule lends itself to a healthy dose of basketball games, and if I was a player I would be chomping at the bit to play these teams. I think it will take the players out of their comfort zone in a good way but it may not translate into too many wins and there is a small chance this tough schedule will backfire and do more harm than good. I predict 6 wins with book money on a Maryland win.

Does that mean the fourth home game is not grueling? Which of Siena, Ball State, Vermont or La Salle is that?

It is a tough 13 game OOC schedule and to come out of it over .500 is entirely possible, but the games all present challenges.

Yes my mistake In my cursory glance at the OOC I read the last game Lasalle at home as Loyola and the first game of the league. There are fourteen games OOC. My point was with the OOC being road heavy it will be grueling even apart from all other variables including strength of teams. At least Lasalle is the start of 3 home games in a row and an eminently winnable game.

Husky, Bison typically start the season slow. I too initially assumed the best until I looked at each opponent. Appears we are getting most in up years. An interesting question is how many of these games will Bison be favored. Certainly less than half. Agree with other posters on great upcoming year so will not be too worried about our record going into League play.
