Ball State is 1-3, but their record is similar to that of the Bison. The three losses came on the road to good teams: Dayton, Oklahoma, and Oregon. In their only home game, they defeated Stony Brook by 11 points.
In the MAC preseason poll, they were picked for 2nd in their 6-team division and are probably #3 out of the 14 teams.

I talking about the top point totals, two games were missed from the "old" era.
Bison beat F&M 111-91 on 3/2/55, which would be after Holy Cross on the list
And, on 1/16/03 (that is 1903) we beat the College of Pharmacy 159-5....not a typo. That was especially noteworthy because in that 1903 season, the Bison were 10-0, with two of the victories over Williamsport by scores of 15-`13 and 10-6.
One 100+ performance was a 101-89 win over Rutgers on 2/5/52.
Also, the 1968 Colgate game was not the only 100+ vicory over Colgate. The othe was 1/4/61 at 104-82. They also beat GW that year 101-85 and Muhlenberg 100-67 in 1962.

Also, does the recent addition of Bruce Moore (6'-8") to the starting lineup make Bucknell the tallest starting lineup in the PL?
Bucknell Probable Starters
G: Stephen Brown (12.8 ppg, 2.6 rpg, 6.4 apg)
G: Kimbal Mackenzie (5.0 ppg, 1.4 rpg, 2.6 apg)
F: Bruce Moore (4.8 ppg, 1.0 rpg, 0.2 apg)
F: Zach Thomas (23.6 ppg, 8.4 rpg, 2.4 apg)
C: Nana Foulland (16.6 ppg, 4.2 rpg, 1.0 apg)

I am going to try to get to the game tonight. I'll give you an update on what the poster is 89, my guess is Nana Foulland dunking.
Its going to be a tough game tonight and will provide a litmus as to how good Bucknell can be. Any Indiana team is always a tough task and if Ball State gets out to any kind of lead we could be in trouble trying to crawl out. I want to see Sestina and Newman play, but I hope Nana gets 30 plus minutes tonight and dominates the game. I like how Brown and Kimbal work together, one pass to either of them changes the complexion of the play and freshens it up. Sotos provides some flash but he's a one man operation I think. Reminds me of Stephen Kaspars younger quicker brother who can really play. The team is solid this game is a pick em for me, I'd like to see the Bison win.

Bucknell has to win. Wife wanted pizza tonite but I said we had to go to Towne Tavern, it’s what makes the Bison win!

Plenty of seats available.
This group has to start playing defense at some point. They can’t hope to outscore everyone.

Yeah, I was just thinking earlier that we cannot allow 75-90 points per game and expect to win consistently. A bit concerning given all of the experience we have coming back...not like a lot of players are trying to learn a system.

Bucknell is better than Ball State. Hopefully the second half demonstrates this. I can’t quite put my finger on it but something is off with this team. And yet when the flash it is special.

There's so much I like about Moore but he seems absolutely lost on defense tonight.
Go Bison!

Why is OReilly on the court with us leading at 25.4 seconds! We are very lucky to win this game.

Gritty, come from behind win. I liked our mental toughness. I just wish we weren't playing in the 80's. It will work through much of the OOC and the PL but not against high majors. Good win, though. Happy Thanksgiving, Bison!

Love Davis putting O’Reilly out there in the first and second half when we needing a spark and his two 3’s were big. However, having him out there in crunch time could have lost us the game. At that point, trust your go to guys to bring it home. O’Reilly is a situational player and having him on the court for extended periods of time isn’t what this team needs
Lucky to win this one. Jimmy was enormous in the second half but we also benefitted from some home cooking. On to Stony Brook

It was a really good and exciting game to watch close the whole way through but the refs stole the outcome and served up some great home cooking a day before thanksgiving robbing the fans of a true result.
Sotos will fit in for Zach next year, he's a talented, top level all purpose player just like Zach. He's sharp and can really play. Bruce Moore had his great plays and he bungled a few but he tied it up at 47 and played great at the end. Brown and Thomas shared moments of carrying the team. Bucknell had their hands full and Ball State could really move the ball and played like a team. I really wanted to see if Bucknell could pull it off but the refs had their eye on it the whole time and put it to rest. Oh well. I'll still take the win.

Sotos and Brown on the court together is exciting.
I’m not sure how to fix the defense but it is really awful. Mental lapses were typical but the passion to defend with the same passion as a scorer on offensive was lacking.
Paulie is right. This team will not outscore a first or second round opponent. The defense must improve and as JD said, OReilly is an awful defender and poor handle to be on the court while up.
