Not surprisingly Zach was named PL POW.
"Thomas earned his fifth The Rock Player of the Week honor after averaging 20.0 points and 11.0 rebounds per game to lead Bucknell to victories over Colgate, Loyola Maryland and Holy Cross last week. "

Congrats to Zack...can there be anyone who can legitimately earn POY over him at this Point?

The only challenger is Nana. He obviously doesn't have the stats that Zach has, but he does have two points in his favor:
1. Much more of a defensive factor than Zach. Often alters shots or intimidates drivers.
2. Is always the #1 target of the opposing team's game plan. Is double-teamed virtually every time he touches the ball.
There is, of course, a lot of defensive focus on Zach as well - but not to the same extent as Nana. I think I'd vote for Zach, but I can understand how some voters might go the other way.

I would vote for Zack as well and vote for Nana as Defensive Player of the Year.

Right now, the Bison actually have three players who could be candidates. Steven Brown has also been a game changer. I don't see him getting POY or DPY recognition over Zach or Nana, but he sure is deserving of first team all-league.
Come PL tournament time, I also can see Kimball getting consideration.....4 players all-tournament?

I’d vote for Zach for POY, and for me, it isn’t a question this season. Zach has much more ability to get a shot for himself than Nana. And while I can appreciate Nana’s defensive prowess, I don’t see it making that much of a difference this season. Also, Zach is getting quite a few more rebounds so far.

People keep talking about the rebounding. The way the team has things set up it seems like Nana takes out the biggest opposing body and leaves the mop up of the ball for his nearest teammate which seems to be Zach a lot of the time. While you can add me to the Zach for POY vote, I have not been at all disappointed by Nana’s contribution on the glass because of the way they seem to have coached them to handle opposing players on the boards.

Agree 100%.
It’s a pity we lost Avi and Kimbal to start the year. All things considered however we played some tight games and defeated some significantly better funded programs without two starters.
No small feat for a low major conference school.
