There is an alumni game tomorrow afternoon, but I have not seen any info/articles about it.

The parking will be at a premium tomorrow evening as there is a concert at the Weis center at 730.

Nice start but Zach has been having problems with his jumpers the last few games. I’m pleased with the effort this far.

Great defensive intensity early. While Zach has been in a bit of a shooting slump, it is nice to see him continue to try and shoot his way out of it.
Better ball movement also, I think they had more first half assists in the first ten minutes.

Biggest regular season crowd of the past few years. Still yearn for the days of both end zones being standing in a sea of orange but it is nice to see virtually no empty seats.

Great crowd of students there tonight. They weren't as loud as Wednesday, but they didn't need to be. Good all around game. When Lafayette came back we stepped it up and took care of business. On to Lehigh!

I say it every time but it's always good to beat the Leopards! In my time at Bucknell they were our biggest rival. When I was a freshman Lafayette led the series 60-14. It's now 89-76. I hope we can keep it up the next few years but Petrie's already giving me nightmares.

Lafayette Game 02-03-18 11:44 PM - Post#245993

As Coach Griffin said on the postgame, Bison didn’t play great and didn’t play poorly...just played winning basketball. Lafayette hustled and played hard on both ends, kudos to them. Bucknell answered several Lafayette runs and hit some timely threes. Petrie has a bit of a peculiar shot but can really play. He will be a thorn for three more years to be sure. Enjoyed the fuller house...just a better atmosphere when seats are filled.
On a negative note, the constant ridiculous yelling to officials and opposing players by a particular Bucknell fan takes away from the positive game experience for many of us having to sit near her. I had a friend who sat across from us text me asking about the person going constantly ballistic. Would be nice if someone from Bucknell would ask her to tone it down.

I think anyone that has attended a Bucknell game in the past cpl years knows exactly which fan you are referring to. I had the pleasure of sitting right in front of her at a recent game. What joy that brought to me 😒

This was one of the worst officiating crews ever to show up at Sojka. Watching them ref, I thought perhaps they had been scheduled to do the Lewisburg HS JV game but took a wrong turn.
I checked after the game and found my instincts about how bad these guys are is correct. Between the three of them, they had reffed a TOTAL of seven D1 games this year! Only two D1 assignments combined since Christmas. And for the 2016-17 season, they drew a total of 10 D1 assignments combined. There is a reason all three rarely get an assignment and it showed in the quality of their reffing tonight. Fortunately it didn't cost the Bison a game.

They did seem a bit quick on the trigger on the traveling calls, but it did go both ways. I agree, they weren't very good.

How does one navigate to the archive of the game? When I click on the link originally provided for the game, it automatically goes to showing what's live on Stadium now.

The officiating is a disgrace. The calls that are made sometimes make you scratch your head and make it very hard not to tell them what your thinking! The game last night made you scratch your head at calls not made just as much! The one official had no clue at all much of the game and appeared to stay clear as much as possible. But with so many games on Saturdays it always appears that the patriot league gets pot luck. I wonder if they are still evaluated on performance? I remember Tim Ebersole being at the game different times on the sidelines appearing to be evaluating only. But he is doing more games again now. Maybe it's the pay that the patriot league gives. 137 any help on this? I know this is nothing new and has been a problem for many years. I have been attending games for 40 years at bucknell.
