Does anyone know why both of our games vs Harvard are on a Saturday? Typically, you play the two traveling partners in reverse order between the home and away games, i.e. Harvard should be a Friday night game. Even though Harvard is the road team (and Saturdays are typically more difficult for road teams in the Ivy), I'm just curious why this exception was made. While the Harvard game is on TV, don't think that the TV folks would have predicted the importance of this game in advance.

Steve,
Like two years, when I believe ESPN also asked for the Princeton-Harvard game to be on a Friday for TV purposes, this year's Princeton-Harvard matchup is on ESPN-U.
I expect ESPN would rather have the two first place teams game) but the switch was made preseason for TV purposes. But I am not even sure ESPNU has the contract to broadcast Penn home games? We are on ESPN3 - Not ESPNU at home.
This is one reason schedules come out so late, as they are subject to fluctuations to gain TV exposure.

I'd love to know how many coaches are really able to use this as a selling point. Let's be honest, if it's a really good recruit, playing a few times on ESPNU when he could be playing every game on a top ESPN channel at a major conference, isn't going to get them. I guess it could convince a kid choosing a school at a smaller conference, but is that really worth all the aggravation?

Also, in today’s media world there’s no distinction for 21st century born kids between linear TV channels and streaming. ESPNU and ESPN3 are indistinguishable.
Only really difference is which announcers you’ll get.

It’s become a common industry term for cable & satellite services.
Things delivered in a line one after the other (whether you’re talking programs on the clock or channels on the dial) vs. selecting your programming from a set of nested menus.

I actually prefer to play Harvard on Saturday as that should also be senior night, right?

Senior night AND the volunteer dinner, so it should be packed.

Will the Atrium be open Friday and Saturday or just Saturday?
