Took in the replay of the football game against Bucknell yesterday, and was unimpressed. Camerawork was inconsistent, they frequently failed to update the down and distance and the timeouts remaining, and the clock was offline for the entire 3rd quarter. In addition, while Joe Tordy was brought back for play-by-play, they've hired somebody named Coffee Jones to do color, who is not a Penn person. While I do not want my home team announcers to be completely biased, I also do not want to hear them talk more about how the other team could do better than about their own team, and I do expect them to more knowledgeable about their own team than this guy was. Hoping that basketball coverage will be a lot better.

I signed up with ESPN+ and watched the game, as well. I generally agree with your comments.
I'm pretty sure that Coffee Jones was in the booth for Penn last season.

Yes - those were not special announcers. It was the Penn team. But in terms of the graphics it's clear whoever was doing down and distance numbers was totally lost

I had a difficult time setting up the account and linking it to my devices. Had to hold for 20 minutes to get customer service help. Turns out I had an old ESPN account that I had to delete. Once I got in, I also found the camerawork and graphics to be way below standard. If I cared about announcers I would put on the radio.

In other words, a Coffee break.
