Verbal Commits notes offers from Brown, Columbia, Dartmouth, and Yale from the IL, as well as DePaul, Southern Illinois, Milwaukee, Bucknell, Rice, Toledo, Ohio, Ball State and Wofford. 247 Sports noted interest from Brown, Dartmouth, Princeton, Yale, Bucknell, Holy Cross, DePaul, Rice, Miami of Ohio and William & Mary.
Here is a PrepHoops article from 4/2017 describing Brayboy's skills:
https://www.prephoops.com/2017/04/recruiting-re por...
- New Trier 2019 center Ciaran Brayboy stands at 6’9†with broad shoulders and a strong upper body. He is a physical low post prospect that when he gets involved plays with a lot of energy. Seems to play much better with his Mac Irvin Fire team than when we saw him during the high school season. Displays skill with hook shots over both shoulders. High/low finish. Also gets on the offensive glass consistently. Converts dump off passes. Rim protector on the defensive end. Impressed with the motor he has played with early in the spring. Mid-major and low-majors need to start looking into one of the better 2019 post in the state. He could be a high-major kid when it is all said and done. -

I will look for him on the Game of Thrones next year! He should be careful as Khaleesi is not fan of the Brayboy’s.

The Harvard women have another 2019 recruit, Annie Stritzel, from the Chicago area.
http://www.chicagotribune.com/suburbs/la-grange/sp...
Stritzel is a 5' 11" guard , who was the the 2018 Pioneer Press All-Area Girls Basketball Player of the Year. The Chicago Tribune article noted that she had almost 30 offers and her final decision came down to Harvard Columbia, DePaul and Illinois State. Last season, she averaged 24 points, 5.1 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 3.8 steals per game. She also hit 50 3-pointers. Academically, she has a 4.3 GPA and a 29 on her ACT.
http://www.rblandmark.com/News/Articles/1-16-20 18/...
In the Riverside-Brookfield Landmark article from this past January, Stritzel plays a combo guard/forward role and transferred from Trinity to play for her father, Ed Stritzel, at Nazareth Academy. He was hired in 2016 from Trinity. His daughter transferred for the 2016-2017 year and sat out the first semester. Her father/coach said, "She can score in many ways. She hits outside shots, has a post up game and can take the ball to the rack." At the time of the article, she was averaging 27 points, six rebounds, four assists and five steals per game.
https://statelinesportsne twork.net/2017/12/25/best...
The Stateline Sports Network article describes how the father/coach ended up at Nazareth.
- In 2015, Trinity was coming off a 27-5 (2014-15) season, but just before the start of the season in late October Stritzel was suspended by the IHSA for the first 30 days of the season for making impermissible contact with a player and her parents, violating an IHSA recruiting bylaw. He was not allowed to attend a practice or game.
A day before his suspension was set to end and the night before Trinity’s home opener, Stritzel and three of his assistants resigned. -

Here's an interview with O'Neil from The Item newspaper in Massachusetts.
https://www.itemlive.com/2018/10/15/former-st- john...
- Last year, his senior year at St. John's Prep, he finished with 19 points and 11 rebounds per game.
- He is spending a post grad year at Vermont Academy
- His choice came down to two or three Ivy schools (from his Verbal Commits page that could have been Brown and Columbia). Getting to the NCAAs was a key factor in his decision.
- His positive impressions of Coach Amaker also seemed to help him make up his mind.

14. Ciaran Brayboy, 6-9, C, New Trier
The offensive game is still a work in progress, but the big-bodied Brayboy continues to make strides at that end of the floor. What Brayboy, who is headed to Harvard, brings to the table is great size and a competitive spirit. He battles while taking up space and uses his size and strength around the basket and on the glass.
