Pretty brutal showing by the Big Red in a 73-57 home loss to Colgate.
While I doubt the guys shoot 4 of 28 from behind the arc again this season -- I think they were 2 of their first 20 -- the defense was abysmal. Colgate lived in the lane and the Red were pretty much helpless to stop them.
Maybe this was a crappy Sunday matinee game when the team didn't show up. UMass Lowell was that way last season. But if not, it could be a long season.

Agreed.
Julian picked up two fouls quickly and the whole team seemed in a funk. They regrouped toward the end of the first half, but got blown out quickly in the second.
Colgate really exposed Cornell's limited front court. Even with only 2 three pointers, they hit 30 two point baskets and won by 16.

Two tough games this week. Delaware at home on Thursday and a Saturday road game against NJIT.
KenPom has Cornell favored by 1 against #206 Delaware, but the Blue Hens played tough at Maryland on Tuesday and beat then #197 St. Peter's in OT on the road.
#208 NJIT is 3-0 after winning at home by 3 (in OT) against Colgate, by 17 at Binghamton and 3 at home to Brown.
