Ironically, I was just looking for this. Strange time of year with some mismatches. Thoughts for tonight:
- Holy Cross has a tenacious point guard in Benzan who has given Harvard trouble. IMHO that is Harvard's achilles heel. Does Chris Lewis play? Is this game a trap? Harvard to win but Holy Cross to cover
- Princeton gets healthier (Cannady, Morales) and covers vs Maine
- Bryant looked awful against Brown. Yale to cover
- Morgan, I mean Cornell, covers vs Layfayette
- Does Brown continue on a roll? Probably not as URI is a different level than Brown has been beating. URI to cover

HC held Michigan to 19 first-half points before getting blown out in the second. Wonder if they're still using that amoeba zone.

I don't know what it's going to do to Brown's KP to play two games on the same night, but I hope the new RPI has a category for non-opponent related degree of difficulty.

Think you are mis-reading that. He said Bryant looked terrible against Brown; Yale to cover. Brown will lose to URI..just one game against URI

Yes, the original post had Brown playing twice tonight. I inserted Cornell vs Layette.

Harvard hasn’t beaten Holy Cross since Kyle Casey and Brandyn Curry were in uniform. There may very well be a court storming if they win tonight. Bill Carmody *owns* Harvard.

Called all 5 games correctly except that Harvard covered (I had them winning but not covering).
Time to quit the day job?

Yes HDG, become a degenerate gambler. Don't know if you can make a living just betting IL hoops, though.

Following the NBA's lead, the IL gurus at good 'ol Nassau will make basketball data available through MENSA for anyone silly enough to bet these games.

5 Game Ivy Slate. Some interesting games:
- Take Yale to lose but cover (+24.5) at Duke. Eli's won't want to run, can rebound, and make shots. ESPN at 5:30.
- Depleted Harvard squad has a tall task at UVM. Take UVM -4.
- Dartmouth and its 3 point shooting will cover (-7.5) at home vs 1-8 Maine.
- Penn to cover (-5.5) at 0-9 La Salle
- Brown hosting Stony Brook (8-1) could tell us a lot about the Bears. Stony Brook recently beat a good URI team by 10. Toss up but something tells me URI (-2.5). Hoping I'm wrong.

I agree with these except I think Yale will only hang with Duke for a half until the walls cave in on them. Duke likely covers although it's a bad bet either way. Brown was actually favored by 1 in the line I saw. They should be a 3-4 pt. dog. Penn LaSalle is also a pass for me; too much to lay on a road big5 game. The over looks better there.

Great test for Bruner and Atkinson as well as the other Yale players. Unlikely if Bruner can stay out of foul trouble with Zion on the court. Incredibly tough match up for any Mid Major team but I suspect that Jones will have them mentally and physically tough.
Key is to avoid an early blow out.

- Dartmouth rolls as expected
- Brown beats a 1 loss Stony Brook team by 2. Did Anderson not play? If so that makes this win even more impressive.
- Penn blowing out an 0-9 La Salle squad
Yale vs Duke tipping off soon
Wondering if Chris Lewis appears for Harvard at Vermont.

ESPN just called Yale "the Class of the Ivy League" and admonished that the Duke game could be better than most people expect

Yale is a good team. Agreed that it should be reasonably close for at least a half.
