Committed over the weekend. Should solidify Harvard's third Top 50 class in a row.

What's the scouting report on Nelson, and does this mean we're out of the running for Jamal Mashburn Jr?

The comps are somewhere between Chambers and Juzang for style - not going to guess at level of actual output just yet. The mentality and the feel for the point from Chambers, but the shooting and defense of a Juzang.
The thing is, with Ledlum and Kirkwood flanking whoever takes over the point in 20-21, the point position will be more of a low-usage facilitator (back to the Chambers role) than a high-usage engine of the offense (the Aiken era). So, he's at least a good fit for what the team will need early on.
I'd be surprised if Harvard added to this class, though I've been surprised before. Harvard has the space to add more with the 2016 class coming off the books, but of the 16 already on the books for 2017-2020, so many are good enough to play at this level that depth isn't remotely an issue. Elite talent might be, but conventional wisdom around the league is that the top-end talent really dried up quick, so my guess is that you won't see Harvard add anyone else.

- The 6-foot-1 Nelson, ranked by 247Sports Composite as the 47th-best point guard in the nation in the 2020 class, had about 15 offers, including BYU, Nevada, Grand Canyon, Utah, New Mexico, Pepperdine, Davidson and Colorado State.
He averaged 20.9 points, 5.3 rebounds, four assists and 2.5 steals in his past two seasons at Salpointe, where he helped the Lancers reach the 4A final both years, losing to Phoenix Shadow Mountain each time. -
