Saw this on the front page of Reddit. Obviously Pete Carril had this strategy figured out decades earlier, but it doesn't seem like the mainstream press is crediting him, Princeton or the coaching tree for their influence. I don't follow the NBA closely. Can this development be traced to something else?

There have been a few attempts to credit Coach Carril for seeing the future in terms of optimal shot selection, but it's definitely not widely known. He does sometimes get mentioned on Warriors broadcasts where announcers reference the ball movement to get open shots
