There's an article on ESPN.com today by someone who actually seems to understand the RPI, unlike coaches such as Boeheim. It points out that the Bison were the best team for a strong BCS team to schedule in 2005-06 and one of the best ones last year. (Davidson was #1 last year, in terms of who a strong BCS team should have been scheduling.)
The article also has a quote from Pat and a picture of him.

great article.....not to be overlooked is the mention of Colgate as the poor selection to schedule.
This article fails to address one key thing: Alumni/Boosters. They won't tolerate losses to Bucknell or Davidson. From a coaches perspective, would not you rather play "pound the patsy" rather than watch the wagons circle? Remember, the Xavier crowd wanted firings to happen despite our recent success in two tourneys!

Hey Bison,
Of course it is written by someone who understands the RPI. The author is none other than Andy Glockner - Penn grad and former writer for ivybasketball.com (predecessor to basketball-u.com). :-)
