CIT brackets: http://www.collegeinsider.com/tournament/schedule-...

CBI brackets: http://www.gazellegroup.com/main/cbi/wp-content/u p...

Both pretty brutal, if you ask me, especially the CIT

My understanding is that Harvard and Yale both declined post-season invitations, although I do not know which tournament(s) each school declined.

Obviously Harvard or Yale would have taken an NIT bid. Given that those weren't forthcoming, both turned down the CBI and CIT. I assume both would have turned down the Vegas 16 too, if it hadn't been cancelled.

Now all can put their undivided attention into rooting for Princeton.

The CIT and CBI may be also rans, but I remember several years ago Princeton went on a little run in one of those events and as a fan, it was loads fun to follow.

Yale was also in the CIT recently. Guess it's not good enough for Jones anymore?

I think the economics of those tournaments just makes no sense when you have to pay to host a game against Nichols State.

Interesting. Both Harvard and Yale have young teams who could benefit from some more playing time against live competition. But perhaps IvyMadness was enough? Certainly, the intensity was a learning experience, and the comparatively the price is better.

I was impressed by Aiken's emotion after losing the tournament game to Yale. Hard to believe he wouldn't want to get out there again quickly and take it out on some other teams, but who knows about the rest of the squad?

Can't speak for Yale, but Harvard's Lavietes Pavilion is undergoing massive renovations and work that couldn't be started during the season had to start right away. Thus, home games weren't happening. And the odds are brutal going on the road for those tourneys - plus I'm not sure what a road win at UMBC gets you anyway.

Maybe if there had been an established, neutral site tourney with middling majors (like what Vegas 16 wanted to be), it would have been interesting.

Apparently, the Brown women will find out.
