Thought I'd check back on this to see if there's any news.
Are summer leagues still prevalent? Do Penn players still participate? I don't hear so much these days about the Sonny Hill league, the Jersey Shore league, or the other suburban league (was it Horsham)?
I miss the days when we'd hear about Adam Chubb's heroic summer league stat lines and Schiffner lighting up teams headlined by Big 5 stars.

David Whitehurst and Don Moxley were the last Penn players to play in the JSBL, and that was 4-5 years ago. The JSBL is a far cry from the days when I used to go out to Belmar to see doubleheaders with guys like Begley, Chubb and Toole playing. They often had Princeton guys too. I believe only 1 Ivy player is in the JSBL this year (down to 6 teams from 8), and he is from Dartmouth (Brendan Barry, on Stearns Trailer).
