Roussell just received a well-deserved contract extension to continue as women's basketball coach, hopeully well into the future. Well deserved.

This is great development for all concerned. The Women may not be as competitive as the men in the OOC and post season but they're a perennial PL contender now under Coach Roussell. And they shine academically.
Congratulations Coach!

Roussell inherited a program in shambles - one that was 5-25 in the previous season and 23-63 the previous three seasons. His first year, without the benefit of a recruiting class, he went 15-16. Since then, he has had only winning seasons - with a 74-24 record over the last three years and a 48-6 PL record.
Additionally he has brought stability to a program that was a wreck, one that had constant transfers and constant coaching turnover. And his players have been very successful academically, including 11 on the PL honor roll for each of the past two years.

Very much deserved. He has proved to be a tremendous recruiter. If this year's team plays up to their potential, it will be a very special season.

This is really good news for all of the reasons stated above. I was afraid we’d lose him before too long. That could still happen, but this seems to indicate that he is of a mind to stay for awhile.

Like 63, I've been holding my breath, fully expecting him to leverage his wonderful success at Bucknell and move on to a bigger program. This is great news.
