As for Allen, it's anyone's guess as to how it plays out. Indeed, I would not be surprised if other coaches at other schools did something similar...

My father had numerous business dealings with Mo's grandfather (his namesake) over the years, although I don't believe any of recent vintage.
The family has a very checkered reputation--philanthropic but also running afoul of the law.

I always wondered why he accepted marginal kids in terms of their character. On the one hand, I think he wanted to give them a chance. On the other he, unfortunately, may be of the same character.

They should be more embarrassed about the bribes' cost per win.
I imagine that it's hard to win when you're giving away admissions slots to the highest bidder without regard for the player's talent level.
