Hey everyone, I didn't see a PL topic for 18-19 yet so I thought I would post Loyola's OOC schedule for your information. Not a bad schedule for first year coach Tavaris Hardy. Nice mix of not overwhelming pay games and locals and even a tourney added. Also gone is the non D-1 game we had been playing the last few years. Certainly not gonna win any SOS awards but for a team needing confidence I think its a manageable schedule ahead of PL play
NOV 6 AT ST. JOHN'S
NOV 11 VS DARTMOUTH
NOV 13 VS DELAWARE ST
LEGENDS CLASSIC
NOV 16 AT TEMPLE
NOV 19 AT DETROIT MERCY
NOV 20 VS BOWLING GREEN OR HAMPTON
NOV 25 AT TOWSON
DEC 1 VS MOUNT ST. MARY'S
DEC 5 AT DREXEL
DEC 8 AT BINGHAMTON
DEC 11 AT MARYLAND
DEC 21 AT UMASS LOWELL
DEC 28 AT NORTH CAROLINA STATE

I think that is one hell of an ambitious schedule myself. Two ACC teams, an AAC team, and a Big East team on the road? That's challenging.

Yeah I wasn't saying it was an easy schedule but outside of the power 5 games they schedule has some winnable games. Much better than the last few years that GG put together.

One clarification: St. John's is also part of the Legends, giving Loyola four games as part of a MTE - which means 13 allowable OOC game instead of the usual 11.
I think this year's schedule is harder than last year due to having one extra high-level game. It also has two extra winnable games because of the MTE. However I'm not sure that last year didn't have a lot of winnable games as well:
212 Fairfield
287 Lowell
299 Dartmouth
238 Mt. St. Mary's
297 Binghamton
251 Drexel
NR Goucher
The biggest problem is that last year's team lost to five of the weak teams listed above. Five of the seven are return games on this year's schedule. They will need to do a lot better vs the mediocre teams this year to have a better season.

Youre right Bison, now that I look at it the only non pay games that changed are Fairfield and Goucher out and Delaware St and the tourney in. They had some close calls last year and have to find a way to win those games this year. Hopefully a frosh or two can contribute right away. Lack of inside presence will hurt them at times. Have to do better in the OOC, as do all PL teams to help the league RPI. Cant be going 2-11 with this schedule.

BRW had the same issue with Maryland and the B10 last year. Still seems strange for them to not be in the ACC where they belong.

I guess I'm just used to it with my following with Rutgers Athletics as well.

Shows how old I am. I still want to put Temple in the Atlantic 10 most days!
