Does anybody know the story behind two sport athlete Trajen Johnson, who was a three star WR recruit last year but never saw the field for us. He was a great D1 PG in high school in Arkansas but apparently was not going to play basketball in college. Jake’s blog has an item to the effect that Johnson is still in school and has been training to play basketball again. Does anybody know about whether he plans to play for us?

According to a recent post on the IL Sports Board he is going to try out for the basketball team.

If he is still a PG that could present an interesting possibility for us since the current backup to Mike Smith is the first year.

Re: Trajen Johnson. As I'm sure most of you know, Trajen, out of Arkansas, was a prized recruit for Bagnoli, but did not play football for the Lions in 2018. Recently, word got out that he no longer was on the 2019 squad; instead, word has it that he wants to focus only on basketball (Trajen was a very good basketball player in high school). Two different stories about Trajen's basketball future: 1) he had a highly regarded trainer working with him to prepare for his playing in the NBA, which seemed like such a stretch to me; the other is that he might try out for the Columbia Basketball team, which sounds to me like an exceedingly more plausible goal. What other stories about Trajen's basketball future have any of you heard?

I still do not see his name on our roster. Does anybody know if he plans to walk on for us?
