Interesting comment by Bill Walton (amidst other off-topic commentary), "This might be the best Ivy team that I've seen...This squad looks tremendous. And, they don't even have their two best players."
Also noting strong team defense.

Both (Pac 12) commentators noting home-town bias in ref calls against Harvard. Not sure if refs are Pac 12.

Ugly Crimson offense without Aiken. Lewis is carrying us

Juzang was a key to the victory. Played with hustle and inspiration in Bryce’s absence and with Rio in early foul trouble. 34 minutes, 14 pts, 4rbs, 1 TO.
If Christian can contribute as he did as a sophomore that would be big.

First half was incredibly efficient. Found a lot of good shots and played great team defense. Second half the offense bogged down a bit. Lewis was great. Juzang played really well. Bassey shut down their top player for most of the game. Overall a very good team effort in a game that was never really in question.
Have to bring it tomorrow.

Nice win especially without Aiken. I saw conflicting reports on Aiken on Twitter with one saying concussion and another saying ankle but ESPN recap mentions him in a walking boot... any word on how long he will be out? Seems like ankle was real issue I assume?

Tip of the hat for a solid nonconference win without Aiken.

Definitely his ankle. My guess is we don’t see him until Dartmouth.

Likely a tough back to back game tonight at USF. Juzang, Kirkwood and Lewis has to play major minutes yesterday.
Also, from my seat very close to the injury at GW it was definitely lower leg and they taped Bryce’s ankle. After the game ran into Tommy who said it was Bryce’s ankle. I don’t know anything about timing.

My understanding is that he’ll be fine, which probably means they’ll ultimately have to amputate the leg.

Heath prognostications from is are now inherently suspect.
Gotta think that Christian is doing better. He was much more aggressive yesterday than he has been for almost a year

Those fellas here better revise their 2020 All-Ivy projections. Chris Lewis didn't look totally healthy last year until back-to-back gems vs. Georgetown and N.C. State in the NIT. He's playing better now at mid-season than his sophomore first-team All-Ivy year.

Just so long as the Penn fans are getting direct updates from the operating room, I think we are all going to be fine.

Glad to hear he’ll be fine and hopefully not miss too many games. Feel bad for him for sure. As a Penn fan, I’ll ignore the other pointless comments re: Penn and say good luck.

Ledlum making an immediate difference driving to the hoop. Already got 6 points and an assist. They can't match his physicality.

Just a terrible half of turnovers. Kirkwood must have dribbled off his own foot three or four times. We keep trying these loopy skip passes that take so long to get there that there's no advantage to be gained — if they're completed at all.
We looked the least incompetent when we were clearing out a side for Ledlum to drive. Another big positive is that Juzang has had another good shooting night so far. We haven't done a good job getting the ball inside to Lewis though. We're going to need some more post touches for him in the second half.

Tough going for both teams in the half court in the early stages of the 2nd half. Stingy d.
