Down 37-25 at the half.
They just look sloppy and flat. I was afraid of this after the Iona loss. They can come back, but it's clear they're not themselves.

Your team is shooting as if this is their first time playing in Jadwin.
edit: clearly, I spoke too soon. I should know better by now.

Endless unforced TOs at the worst times. What a terrible game. The guys just didn't come to play.

Ugly loss tonight - this is the first time in forever where I've questioned the team's effort. They slopped the ball around, fell asleep on defense, and didn't even come out sharp for the 2nd half down 12.
Big step backwards with these back-to-back losses. Embarrassing stuff - they better not take Kean lightly. I'm only half-joking.

Delaware is a pretty decent mid major team. They're not as big or as physical as a team like Iona, but they're skilled and they play hard. We beat them pretty convincingly in Philly over Thanksgiving weekend even though Nelson dropped 30 on us.

Tuned in late; surprised at the score.
Clearly a bad game overall based on the comments above, but the drive by Allocco (when he pushed off) was an especially poor play call off of a time out.
This game makes it easy for me not to buy tickets to Ivy Madness. Don't see how we can win.

Woeful outing until the end. Sloppy passing, poor shooting, missed rebounds, invisible defense. I will be charitable and chalk it up to 1) flatness after strong outing against Ioan, 2) today being Dean’s Day, final day for papers and projects to be handed in.( I know this because my son is there and he pulled an all nighter last night.)

Yeah, I hope it's just mental and physical fatigue because that was very discouraging going into Ivy play. They played like Mitch woke them up 5 minutes before tip-off.

Welp, it looks like Mitch and Allocco agree tonight was a failure of attitude.
https://www.trentonian.com/2022/12/16/princeton- me...
“I think our guys got a little bit too big in that eight-game streak,” coach Mitch Henderson said. “We got a little bit of humble pie here... there’s a lot of blame going around right now.
“We weren’t ready to go,” Allocco said. “I’m supposed to be a leader and get us ready to go, but I haven’t held up my end of the deal.”
My excitement for Ivy play dipped considerably after the past two games. Feels like another also-ran season. We need a vocal leader to get players fired up.

Not to beat, or resurrect, a dead horse but IMO the fabulous ivy tournament is partly responsible for a casual attitude if they feel confident they will be top 4 regardless, plus there's no incentive to play for home court advantage this year.

I disagree. That's purely a fan's thinking. These are competitors. They want to win every game--especially Ivy games. Princeton may or may not be good enough to win the league title this year but that has nothing to do with effort. They just had a bad game--happens to everyone.

I didn’t watch this one but would warn against recency bias. There were a lot of positives in the Iona game, e.g. Kellman figuring out how to avoid clogging the lane, leading to numerous interior passes for good looks inside. Freshmen are going to mess up some, the perimeter scorers aren’t quite as prolific and consistent as last season, etc., but when the effort is there and they concentrat,e they play better defense than last season. This is a team whose good is very good but simply lacks consistency at this stage.

Interesting that of Delaware's 76 points 4 players accounted for 74. Nelson, Jr. is very good and the other 3 scorers all had good nights. I got the impression watching the game that our kids believed they would win but it took them too long to step on the gas. By the time they realized they were in trouble it was too late. As an aside if Cornell plays the way they did in the first half at Syracuse they can and should best any Ivy team.

Well, I'm not saying that this Harvard team has the same stuff as some of recent vintage, but the Crimson have established a recent patter of losing absolute howlers in the noncon but being perfectly fine come conference season.
