With our loss to Rider - a 5 seed looks imminent. This means Fairfield will be on our side of the bracket (and must play them come semifinal time). Three teams are tied from 2-4 (Rider, Iona, St Peters). Which team finishing 4th would give us the best shot to take on Fairfield in the semis? |

I'd rather play SPC since it would at least be a close game either way with their limited offense. Don't trust our defense to stop Rider or Iona. |

Of those three I would rather play SPC, with Rider as a second choice. SPC for the reasons phillyhound said and Rider due to the fact that if Rider's 3 pt shots arent going down they are very beatable. Honestly the 4th and 5th seeds are not a bad place to be other than have to face Fairfield in the semis if we advance if you look at the schedule it is better than the 3-6 game that doesnt start until at least 10:30 pm with a quick turnaround the next day.

I agree about wanting to play St. Pete's, followed by Rider then Iona. It will be very difficult to beat Fairfield on their but they are def not unstoppable. We would just need to have our best game of the year. It's really a shame that we have dropped some close conf games this year (vs. Niagara, @ Rider). We win those games and we are fighting for a 2 seed and a much easier road to teh semis. Any word on the extent of Drummond's injury? |
