Loyola will play at Old Dominion on Wed. in the WNIT. The winner probably plays Virginia. This is the 3rd postseason appearance in womens bball history.

ODU is very good especially at home. They are not as good as they traditionaly are but this will be a real tough game for the Hounds. |

only similar opponent is Towson We lost to Towson by 9 (maybe 8) ODU beat Towson by 28. ouch |

ODU kind of limped to the finish losing three of their final six including their last two by double digits. One of those wins was only a five point home win over CAA bottom feeder Wm & Mary. It will still take a great game for the Hounds to win but they appear to be catching the Monarchs at a good time. |

It is also possible our team is much more excited to be in the NIT than ODU. It is on the road, so I doubt it will happen, but let's hope for the best.

I have to say I haven't watched a W basketball game in squite a while, but that was fantastic. Congrats to the team. They deserved the win.

A postseason win for Loyola. I dont care if it is the women it is a great win and to beat a traditional power in ODU is even better. Most likely play Virginia in the next round. Congrats.

In 94 I saw them play UVa in Charlottesville in the tourny a couple of days before the men took on Arizona out west. As I remember we played them pretty well at least for a half that time. Who knows...

Just read that Loyola will be hosting Virginia at Retiz on Sunday in the 2nd round. UVA couldnt host the game because they are a host school for the NCAA tourney that is this weekend. Hopefully we can get a nice turnout to cheer on the Lady Hounds.
