big game tonite! Marist played us pretty tough at home in Dec and played Iona well this past weekend, we will have to be at our best, they have some good wing players |

I'd like to extend a personal invitation all of you back to Loyola basketball. Just wow. Gotta put a huge chunk of this on Patsos... you cannot have your team play 5 consecutive uninspiring, downright awful halves without it not being on the coach. Shane Walker has returned to midseason form.. 6-19... (got to watch this game) so add in a couple bonehead plays.. one of them being an attempted pass to Olson which hit off the backboard? How you do that is beyond me. Do not look at his double double and tell me he had a good game.. anyone 6' 10" should be able to grab 10+ rebounds in the MAAC... and I'm sure if I shot the ball 19 times, I'd hit a couple of them too Etherly turned the ball over 5 times and was in foul trouble the entire game and was 3-9 Olson was 2-10.. Drummond was also 2-10 What a complete embarrassment. Marist won 72-54 by the way. |

Indeed, these are those Greyhounds we've known so well in the past. That sound you heard was John Feinstein and all the bandwagon fans exiting stage right. I'm guessing now it won’t be so hard getting a ticket to our big bracketbuster game, eh? I did not witness the carnage (couldn’t even find stats yet), sounds like everyone was brutal so not hard for me to join you in putting some of that on the coach. He even copped to “not having them ready†for Fairfield, which sounded great but frankly, didn’t sound real sincere when I heard him say it. To me, he was saying “I did what I could, they didn’t listenâ€. Well, if they’re not listening, you gotta do something else. I guess of all us who’ve followed the JP era for more than 5 minutes always knew it was going to come down to all or nothing in Springfield. Maybe doing well and coming up short in losing in the final still gets them in the NIT, but at this level 20 wins doesn’t mean much if you also have 10 losses, which is still possible. |

This game was tied with 7:00 minutes left and we lost by 18? Marist scores 49 points in the second half after scoring 23 in first? This team has played awful 2nd halves now against Rider, Iona, Fairfield and now Marist. Jimmy said post game that Marist "wanted it more" Which team was playing for first and which team is playing out the string? |

i'd like to see this team with a real coach. Basically giving up hope on the season at this point. |

Terrible string of events this week with back to back big defeats. It's only going to get tougher with road games against Rider and Manhattan. We still have an outside shot at #1, but at this point we need to right the ship. It's on the coaches and it's on the players. Still hopeful, but I've been burned before. |
