According to Rivals, he was offered by Davidson, Holy Cross, North Dakota, San Francisco, Seattle, and TX Arlington. Hence, he certainly has had some mid-major interest. |

Knee injury early last season kept him out, so no junior year stats or honors. School made regional tourney finals, endedup 24-6. Returned to playing late in the AAU season. Interesting that he has a handful of Div I scholarship offers despite the injury and before senior season started. Sounds promising. Committed to CU after visit - canceled trip to Davidson. Father is hockey coach, ex college player. |

Apparently played with the guys on his weekend visit and is over whatever his injury was. He runs well and is a shot blocker/rebounder right now with a developing offensive game. "Twin City Boys Hoops" named him one of their 5 Players to Watch in July and said this: #3) Connor Voss - Minnesota Comets Hanson 17s Voss is the other big man in the middle on our list. His story is entirely different. He sat out a large chunk of the high school season due to injury. That carried over to him missing the entire April recruiting period as well. But he's gotten his legs back over the last 2 months and its showed. His performance at the North Dakota camp earned him an offer from the (insert non-offensive NCAA complaint nickname here). Is he trending toward a July where he breaks through onto a bigger stage? |

I have 7' footer expectation fatigue, brought on by the likes of Zack Crimmins and Max Craig. In his case, however, it sounds as if the potential is much greater. |

Fatigue or no fatigue, in the immortal words of Coach Wooden, you can't teach height. |

This from Rivals after an AAU tourney which I am guessing was last summer: A Big to Watch Six-foot-11, yes 6-foot-11, St. Cloud Cathedral center Connor Voss should be on the watch list of just about every college in the Midwest. Why? For one he's 6-foot-11. But two, the improvement in this young man in the past two months playing with the Minnesota Comets 16s is very eye opening. Voss is raw no question and because of that consistency isn't always there. But this weekend when the Comets came back from a dozen down to beat the Heat by eight big Connor Voss was a massive part of it. He changed the game on defense as the Heat wouldn't go near the rim to challenge him (after he blocked a couple shots) and posts couldn't shoot over him at all. He adjusted their shots to extremely low percentage angles. Add in that Connor consistently boarded and made a face-up ten footer and this is a guy whose mailbox should be filling with interest very soon. |

The current coaching staff has been pretty successful turning raw big men into useful players. Craig and Crimmins were much improved players their senior year compared to what they looked like before. |

He seems to be realizing his potential pretty quickly. He's now listed on several websites as 7'1." Some upside! |

Thinking too far ahead, if Osetowski plays well at forward this year, Voss could replace Cisco at center in 2013-2014. Freshmen centers are usually pretty raw, and Voss would probably be better defensively than offensively. Nevertheless, a front line of Voss (7'1"), Osetowski (6'10 and 265 lbs), and Rosenberg (6'7 and by his junior year probably averaging in the low to mid-teens ppg) has some definite appeal. |

Yes, but all the big guys need to consistently score in the teens, not just Rosenberg. Is it fair to assume from a recruiting standpoint that the Lions' top recruiting is to recruit a standout forward? |

Now that they have a center, yes, the next task is to recruit a standout forward. Of course, Osetowkski could improve significantly, but otherwise, the only forward with a rep for offense is Gilson. Everyone else--En'Wezoh, Scrivano, etc, are better known for their defense. If they could get a standout who's good on both, we'd really have a competitive team. |
