I of course would have to read the contract, but unless college contracts are different from pro contracts, the school that fires a coach is responsible for paying the difference between the contracted salary and the new salary. I don't believe they get out of the contract unless there is something akin to a restrictive covenant, which I have never seen in this type of contract. But without seeing the contract, this is only a guess. |
