Great pickup! Every time I get nervous with ND's targeted recruiting approach, then another quality commitment pops up. Had 21 reported offers: - Missouri Valley Conference: Northern Iowa, Drake, Loyola (IL), Illinois State, - CAA: Northeastern, W&M, Elon - Ivy: Princeton, Penn, Dartmouth, Brown, Cornell - MAC: Western Michigan - Southern: Furman, Wofford - Big South: Campbell, Winthrop - Patriot: Army, Lafayette, Bucknell - Horizon: Milwaukee

Sotos highlights from July 2016 AAU play against some good competition: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GF9oTmYyeak And some highlights from some high school competition in June: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bwmPI4cXbYk Btw, for those who haven't followed the recruiting closely, Sotos is a 6-3 PG who can also play the two. He plays for Conant H.S., which is located in a Chicago suburb.

A few more Sotos articles etc: Jimmy Sotos Sparkles Jimmy Sotos Interview - before AAU July competition which produced most of his offers Conant vs Prospect in MSL Championship Game - Complete Game Video . . . Sotos (#3 in white) led both teams with 22 points in a 41-35 win in their league's championship game this past winter. Sotos btw has added an inch or two in height since then.

Some notes from Sotos' first few weeks of HS ball: 1. Had 29 points in three quarters Friday night in a 62-33 win. 2. His Conant team beat 7-1 Benet Saturday night to run their record to 9-2. They are one of the top-rated team in the Chicago metro area. 3. Video of him as the CSN Athlete of the Week: http://www.csnchicago.com/preps-talk/wintrusts- ath... 4. Sotos Draws Praise After Win Btw, Conant also has a 6-9 junior center, Ryan Davis, who is getting some D1 looks and already has an offer from Wright State. Wonder if the Bison have any interest.

I think the Bison will be quite happy if he hits 52% on threes as a Bison. . . Not sure what his overall pct is. For the tournament, he averaged 20 ppg in what were generally low-scoring games

Sotos was recently named to a few All-Area and All-State teams: 1. Illinois Prep All-State - on their 5-man 4th team (all classes), which makes him a top 20 player in the state in their opinion. Bruninga also made 4th team. 2. Illinois Coaches Association All-State - 2nd team for 3A/4A (larger schools) 3. Chicago Sun-Times All-Area - made 20-player Chicago all-area team, which includes the city and all of its suburbs.
