Confusing, but it seems to me that Columbia still gets into the tournament unless Penn defeats Harvard tomorrow night and we lose to Yale in which case Penn would be 6-8 and we would be 5-9. If both Columbia and Penn lose tomorrow night, Columbia would take fourth place unless Dartmouth upsets Princeton in which event Dartmouth would finish in a three-way with Columbia and Penn and also win the tie-breaker. I'm not sure I understand what happens in the event Cornell defeats Brown or vice-versa. if Cornell defeats Brown, Cornell would still finish 4-10, which would be one game behind Columbia and Penn, whereas if Brown wins it would finish in a three-way tie with Columbia and Penn. In that case, I'm uncertain who gets the 4th place spot, although it might be Columbia. |
