Who is heading to Philly?

I will be there with my son as well as a college classmate. We may let a Princeton friend tag along as well.

Anyone else find it a little odd the FoHB Reception is during first tournament game?

I'll be watching from home - don't want to spend another weekend away after Sloan Sports Conf.

Hope all that go have a great time!

I'll be there with my wife - she's a trooper.
When is the event? (I'm about to check in with the group.)

I will be there too. FOHBB reception is at 2pm, during Princeton-Penn men's game.

Is that the reception in the Palestra VIP room?

Very surprising they don't want the total crowd to be watching the games.

Location TBD (Adjacent to the Palestra) says the e-mail.

That would be funny if they put you guys in a lecture hall at DRL, probably the most depressing place on campus (and adjacent to the Palestra). But it's probably the VIP room, which indeed also is adjacent to the Palestra.

VIP Room is likely different. Princeton is advertising that chairbacks come with VIP reception.

It's probably a setup on the practice court.

Must disagree; that little quad that Stiteler and the Grad School of Ed are on is so lifeless, it literally sucks the color out of anything that goes in there.

Also, a reminder for those coming down on the NJ Turnpike; the bridge linking that to the PA Turnpike is closed until at least April due to girder failure. If you're lodging in Center City/U City anyway, I'd highly recommend staying on the NJTP to Rt. 73 in Cherry Hill, then following that to 38, and that to the Ben Franklin Bridge.

Never had the pleasure of having a course in DRL.

Closest I came was having an Anthro course with the renowned Dr Mann (no pun intended) in the University Museum. It was a once a week course at night, and it was a combination of depressing and tough to stay awake.

The only good part was being right by Franklin Field for my late night intramural games.

Well, I was a psych major, so I knew Stiteler well. Also did an independent study at the psych lab building. But Eddie Eggroll was right outside and the CA was a block away--so you were on Locust Walk and had decent food options. DRL was all the way at the end of campus, was built with building blocks in 30 BC, was always cold and horrible.

But I had Physics and calculus there, which made everything horrible.

I was an engineering major and pretty much lived on that end of campus. I took my lumps in DRL, Towne, and LRSM (that mysterious building on the northeast corner of Walnut and 33rd that everyone thought was Drexel.) Imagine my dismay when I learned that my English final senior year was to be given at DRL.

Friggin' William Shakespeare couldn't avoid that dump.
