I ordered tickets with the Bison Club presale and emailed the box office midday today to confirm bc I also hadn't seen a charge. They confirm I was good and said they would be charging cards shortly. I just had a pending charge show up in the past few hours. |

I'm certainly no fan of Kempton's but I wouldn't be too quick to taunt him. I watched the Lehigh game on Sunday and he carried that team on his shoulders. He benefited from some highly questionable calls but that is part of the game. If Lehigh loses tomorrow, then Kempton's college career is probably over. Moreover, he has incentive to prove that he should have been POY. I know he's childish but I don't want to give him, or his teammates, extra incentive. It could very well backfire. The very last thing I want to see is Kempton cutting the net at Sojka. |

Right now Lehigh owns Bucknell. We have Muscala, they have McCollum. We have Kansas, they have Duke. We have Nana, they have Kempton. Their endowment is higher than ours and they beat us 2 games to zero this year. Owned. We are the underdog. This game is a foregone conclusion once they get out on the court the critical time is now until the game starts. Everything Bucknell has done has to change. Practice time? Double it. Nana has to stop telegraphing where he goes on the court, OReilly needs to stop shooting just threes. Zach has to stop the game within the game of toughness one upmanship and Stephen Brown need to get out of his bubblitis and think soft rainbow shots are the only thing in town. Think like you did when you were a freshman Stephen! Lehigh is coming to punch us in the face, and we're not going to be ready. Lehigh is a solid team but the Bucknell coaches need to find Lehighs achilles heel, which isn't hard to see. They certainly have found ours. When the players know they have this game down and play it, only then we can win. I want to see Bucknell get to the big dance, I want to see more if they got it within themselves to get there. Good luck Bucknell. |

The idea of taunting Kempton in a way that questions his talent reminds me of when we had another big Lehigh at Bucknell game, and the students thought it would be a good idea to chant "overrated" at CJ McCullom. Later, he hit a clutch dagger shot in the final seconds of the game and stared into the student section, rightfully so. All of which is to say, I don't think that's a great idea. |

If the decision is to taunt that whiny brat, then please by all means use it and taunt. Others have a valid point of taunting here when we are 0-2 is a bit asking for it, but some of my best Bucknell memories were bringing rolls of aluminum foil when we played Colgate and Adonal Foyle. |

I think one key to the game will be Kimbal's play. In the two games vs Lehigh this year, Kimbal is 6-19 with 17 points, not good. If Kimbal plays well I think we'll win. Another key is Bruce and Avi's defense on Price. Price has killed us this year and throughout his career. This year he is 12-25 from the floor, 7-14 from 3 and had scored 41 points in the two matchups. This game has me nervous but I think we will pull it out in a nail biter, Wednesday can't get here soon enough. |

I'm all for taunting Kempton. CJ was smooth with it and always seemed to be undaunted. And no offense to cam ayers, but CJ knew he couldn't cover him. Nana can cover Kempton. I really thought that Nana won POY in the game against Lehigh. Some of the blocks that Nana had on Kempton were demoralizing. Which brings me to my point in taunting. CJ was a killer...to me Kempton is not and has been a whiny brat his whole career. You can get under his skin...especially if Nana has a few of those demoralizing blocks. CJ couldn't be stopped. |

Remember they put up the money to continue their season four years ago and got to travel to Wyoming (and lose).

Agree with some of the above comments re CJ and Kempton. CJ his last three years displayed a lot of class. Kempton is perhaps the most classless player in PL history. There are stories from LU students that he is not well-liked by his teammates fwiw.

If the Lehigh students taunt hen I say go ahead an taunt, but keep it classy. I do think Kempton is whiny and childish and appears condescending to his teammates, but I also think he thrives somewhat on people taunting him. Perhaps a chant that even his own teammates don't like him would be good, because that gets all of the team thinking instead of playing. On another note, our credit card was charged earlier today so we have tickets! |

They will have plenty who drive, of course, but it sounds like they sold less tickets than I expected. Btw, this continues the streak of only one visiting team ever using their full allocation of tickets for a championship game. That would be Bucknell in 2007 at Holy Cross.

If Lehigh loses, they're not going to the NIT but they could buy their way into one of the tournaments you mentioned. That said, Kempton is a 2X POY who I'm sure desperately wants to play in the dance. While I don't like him, I respect his ability. I think he'll be super motivated tomorrow and is capable of having the best game against Bucknell of his career. I'm concerned that he will be very aggressive offensively and draw early fouls on Nana. If Nana has to sit with two fouls for much of the first half, then we're in serious trouble. Sestina's going to be a very good player but Kempton can eat him, and DJ, alive. |

Vegas says Bucknell -6. Hate to say it but Lehigh sounds like the lock of the century getting 6 points. I would have thought Bucknell would be a 1-2 point favorite. I hope I'm wrong! Given this history, it's pretty clear Bucknell must have been first with the fight song as well.

They may have returned a few, but the number would gave been small. However they reportedly only took a fraction of the tickets they were entitled to in the first place.

Though you get home court you organize the event as if it were a neutral facility. And if the semifinal is an indication it looks like you have to put the student section closer to your own bench.

I think the visiting team gets the north endzone and our students are in the south. Quite a few Bucknell people bought from the Lehigh site once our allotment sold out. There will be plenty of orange at their end. President's office is paying for the student tickets. |

Based more on feel than logic, would put Bruce Moore on him. Kempton moves surprisingly well and makes a fair number of unguarded 3's. Moore has the height and may have the foot speed to keep in front of him and chase him to corners. |

I don't mind a zone just to change it up, knowing that Lehigh struggles with zones. But this a good man defense team and you know practiced the zone hard over the last week in preparation for the tourney and specifically the BU game. I wouldn't change our philosophy a ton, but definitely have it in there. I think that Toomer and Moore can play good D on Price and Foulland can hold his own with Kempton. Other than those two no one scares me. |

Sorry about your father, LewisburgLocal, hope all is well. I agree that Kempton is going to get his...hopefully he doesn't get 30, but I think it is key to hold down everyone else. Our man D wasn't very good against Navy and if they would have shot a decent % we wouldn't be playing in this championship game. We need to do a better job on penetration and preventing drives to be hoop and kick outs for open threes. With Nana on Kempton I anticipate having him set up outside some while drawing Nana with him and having Ross and Price driveing and taking to the hoop or dropping it for Kempton when Nana helps. I look for SB and KM to have better games tonite. I think the Bison really want to prove something tonite and I hope they play to win and not play to "not lose." If we play our best I think we win. Go Bison!!!! |

The start of the 2nd half was perfect, sent a message right away that we weren't intimidated. You want to beat us for a 3rd time you better be dominant...Lehigh couldn't keep up. Kempton got his, we all knew that. But Price didn't make a huge impact and that was the difference. They all played really well but Kimball came up huge again. And it was clear that Lehigh was afraid to attack Nana. They either had Kempton on the perimeter to pull him away or their guards were afraid to go at him. That's POY respect. |

Zack Thomas won the Tournament MVP award and absolutely earned it, as he came up big with 17 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists, plus a block or two! Amazingly fun atmophere and a great second half especially by Bucknell...awesome job players and coaches! Congratulations!!! So many good moments...but I loved Zach's monstrous block on Kempton. Great Game. Wonderful atmosphere and high level of excitement. Let's keep it up for Friday!!! One player not mentioned yet is Nate Sestina. When Nana and DJ both sat at the end of the first half with 2 fouls, Nate played some important minutes against Kempton. He messed up his shooting at least twice underneath and scored as well. Helped immensely in the halftime position. BTW, Kempton is really bush. In the pre-game stretching he was doing, he was on the floor in the end zone, right under the noses of some shirtless Bison fans and was inciting them to scream at him. What an arrogant butt. |

I also want to give a shout out to our senior class. These guys showed heart, character and made important contributions to this team. I know Johnny A was frustrated throughout this career but he showed up, stepped up and lead. Proud of them! As an aside, this may be the best junior class in the history of the PL. Lee and Bettencourt were special too but Thomas, Brown and Foulland are outstanding....and all Paulsen recruits. |

Incredible effort by the Bison! Congrats to coaches and players all! Everybody stepped up. Kempton is a beast on offense, but I thought he was especially soft on defense after he picked up a foul. It looked to me like his main concern was not picking up another foul so he could stay out on the floor. |

While one of my favorite Patriot League games ever, got frustrated the first half when like in Navy game, Leigh was able to drive by defender on EVERY play. Leigh looked a bit gassed the 2nd half and missed many layups or a tighter game. Not a big fan of zone all the time, but as a change up seems obvious when you can't stay with your man. Davis was the Defensive Coach for Flannery. Dust off some of the old defensive play books from 2004/5 for NCAA's? Go Bison! |

Kempton, as great a Patriot League player as he is, showed why he is unlikely to make NBA. Nana and other Bison bigs were able to keep him relatively under control. Against players his own size, he looked like he was gassed in most of the 2nd half. Still put up good numbers but showed average defense, average movement, and inconsistent shooting (although a load driving to basket). In pros, he would be a step slow with most of his competition able to drive around and jump over him. Suggest Leigh retire his number and think of him fondly because they are unlikely to see him play again unless they buy a trip to Europe or Asia. |

Surprised Mackenzie not getting more love on Board. Clutch shots every game at key times. Read box score and noted this was one of first games Davis went with more focused lineup-5 starters all with 30+ minutes and only 2 subs with more than 10+ minutes. It paid dividends 2nd half. |

I ended up watching the game again on DVR, and it is so obvious that Lehigh played a series of one-on-five offensive possessions while Bucknell passed the ball very well. By the time that the second half rolled around, Lehigh looked exhausted. (Thank you, Boston U.) Having 10 players rotate in and out really helped the Bison. BTW, nice win for George Mason.
