This news is several weeks old, but Henry Caruso is apparently going to take his graduate transfer year at Santa Clara, his Dad's alma mater in his home state. http://wakeupswig.com/?thread=henry-caruso- to-sant... |

Any word yet on where Hans will play? |

My understanding is that Hans did not choose to leave the team and therefore burned up his final year of college eligibility and that Caruso stayed in school but dropped off the team and therefore has another year left as a grad transfer. Others may be more knowledgeable about this situation and the applicable NCAA rules on eligibility. |

Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports tweeted last week that Hans is eligible to play as a graduate transfer next year - https://twitter.com/JonRothstein/status/8 443448487... |

Pretty funny on the Santa Clara message board with guys wondering if Caruso is athletic enough to play in the WCC. Newsflash: He started on a team 68 Pomeroy spots above the Broncos. |

Amusing indeed. Santa Clara is getting an undersized player who has been underestimated by colleges when he was in High School and Mitch Henderson for 1 1/2 years. He can only jump, shoot and be tenacious. It would been nice to have him back next year with Stephens, Bell and Cannady. |

I saw that too. Here is my favorite quote: "Does he have a position in WCC? 6-4, 190 looks like maybe like a stretch 4 in the Ivy? Good rebounding for his size (not necessarily for the position, but for his size at it), but again, it’s against a bunch of non-scholarships." |

Herb Sendek at Santa Clara is a very good coach - stresses defense, fundamentals, and was a devotee of analytics before it was cool. I believe he was the second youngest coach to get to the 300 win plateau. I am pretty sure that while his fans may be unclear on what a good player Henry Caruso is, the coach isn't. |

I wonder if signing Caruso is going to rekindle the vicious rumors that Sendek runs the dreaded "Princeton Offense"? http://www.espn.com/blog/collegebasketbal lnation/p... |

The P.O. worked pretty well when James Harden was running it. |

Caruso started the first game for Santa Clara, scoring 14 points on 5-8 shooting and grabbing 6 rebounds in an easy 120-70 win over LaVerne. |

I loved the SC message boards that questioned his signing last spring. |

This Tiger fan believes he decided to transfer there much earlier than imagined. |

It looks like Henry Caruso is a graduate assistant coach under Herb Sendek at Santa Clara. https://www.slipperstillfits.com/2019/1/23/1819210... https://www.santaclarabroncos.com/sports/m-baskbl/... |
