Great story about a real warrior. I still say that Alex was the victim of the worst call in recent memory when the refs fell for Rivard's Oscar winning performance and called that offensive foul which cost us the Harvard game a few years ago.

Will Rashid Khalidi, Katherine Franke and the other BDS airheads who teach at our alma mater demand revocation of Alex's diploma?

For certain, there are plenty of wackos on the Columbia faculty, but none worse than Professor Kathy Boudin, the cowardly killer of two cops and a security guard in the Brinks robbery in 1981 in Nanuet, N.Y. She allowed two cops to be murdered in cold blood when she did not warn them that armed killers were hiding in the truck. Served twenty years in prison before joining the Columbia faculty.

I assume that "wacko" means someone you disagree with. Not sure that I call everyone who disagrees with me a wacko.

No argument about Boudin. But thank god for wackos, assuming they make one think a bit, otherwise college would be a pretty puerile experience.

Boudin was married to or otherwise involved with David Gilbert, the black sheep of the Class of 1966 who is spending life in prison and as far as I know has never apologized or shown remorse for his crimes. Gilbert and Boudin's son was raised by a couple of political activists in Chicago who were close to the Obamas ( they were an issue in one of the campaigns, and I think were U of C faculty). The yong man went on to Yale and won a Rhodes.

PS, Boudin's brother is a distinguished federal appellate judge and her father was a well regarded civil rights lawyer.

Did she kill anyone?
from Wiki: Boudin and Gilbert allegedly acted as decoys as well as getaway drivers.

Yes, Professor Boudin, was convicted of felony murder in the cowardly killings of two Nyack, New York, police officers, Waverly ("Chipper" Brown and Edward O'Grady. Boudin and Gilbert were part of a group of six "Black Liberation Army" terrorists who killed a Brinks driver at the Nanuet, NY mall in 1981 and then switched cars into a U-Haul getaway truck. The armed killers hid in the back of the U-Haul truck which was stopped by Brown and O'Grady at a roadblock in Nyack. Professor Boudin was driving the U-Haul truck and knew that the Black Liberation Army members armed with automatic weapons were hiding in the trunk of the U-Haul. She failed to warn Brown and O'Grady and when they opened the back of the trunk they were murdered in cold blood. That is a classic legal case of felony murder. Yes, Professor Boudin's father was a prominent civil rights lawyer and her brother is an appellate judge, but the fact is that she caused the death of a Black police officer and another police officer as well so I don't see why her family relations are relevant. I was not excusing Boudin or Gilbert. I was pointing out the irony that Boudin came from such an accomplished family. I have no sympathy for her, do not think she should be at Columbia, but will note in passing that unlike Gilbert she has shown remorse. I also think that faculty members like Khalidi and Franke are a much more insidious influence on campus right now than Boudin.
