per AD: NEW YORK – Former Columbia men's basketball standout Maodo Lo '16CC capped his rookie season with an easyCredit BBL Championship with Brose Bamberg. Lo joins three other Lions' alumni, Asenso Ampim '08CC, KJ Matsui '09CC and Alex Rosenberg '16CC, in the international professional ranks. Lo helped Brose Bamburg to its ninth league title, averaging 10.7 points, including a team-high 17 in game one of the best-of-three series. In series, he shot 6-of-8 (75.0 percent) from downtown and dished out 3.3 assists. In the regular season, Lo saw action in 30 games, making 16 starts, and posted 7.5 points on 43.0 percent shooting from 3-point range. He also knocked down 25-of-29 free throws (86.2 percent). Rosenberg started in 20 of 32 games played with Maccabi Kiryat Gat in the Israeli Basketball Premier League. He averaged 6.7 points and 1.7 rebounds and posted a career-high 18 points on 7-of-11 shooting in a victory over Bnei Herzelia on May 8. Ampim started the season with Siauliai in Lithuania before joining France's Union Rennes Basket in March. In 13 games for Siauliai, he averaged 11.2 points, which was second on the squad, and grabbed 4.8 rebounds. After the move to Union Rennes, Ampim posted 13.5 points and 6.5 rebounds in four contests. Matsui finished his sixth season with the Toyota Alvarks in the Japan B League. Matsui played in 64 games, while starting in 13 of them. He averaged 5.7 points on 39.0 percent shooting from 3-point land and knocked down his free throws at a 93.9 percent clip.

Brown's Doug Stewart did, he was even a player/coach with the Generals. A great way to see the World. After working with Craig Robinson, he is now an Asst. at Tulane. |
