I think we all feel a bit bad when a student transfers out and gives up their Ivy degree. In the case of Gaines, everyone had further concerns that he was going to Riverside where he might have a lesser academic AND basketball experience. It sounds like everything has worked out just fine. An Ivy degree opens doors, but fire in the belly trumps college degree. |
