Dolan screws up everything he touches. Indeed, I was going to buy tickets to see Don Henley after he put out his last solo album until I saw that "JD and the Straight Shot" was the opening band. I thought at first it was a band fronted by JD Souther (whom I like) but looked it up and it was JIM FREAKING DOLAN. Here's a review of his band in the NY Times (go to the last paragraph): http://www.nytimes.com/2011/07/29/arts/music /areth... I then looked deeper and found that Dolan had entered into a $300 million deal with super-agent Irving Azoff http://www.billboard.com/biz/articles/news/leg al-a... and through that deal, Azoff was putting Dolan as an opening band for his top acts. It's disgusting. I won't attend any event that puts money in this man's pocket. FREE OAKLEY! |
