Both the men's and women's teams will be getting their patriot league championship rings at halftime of tomorrow's football game.

Here's what the women's rings look like: https://twitter.com/bucknell_wbb/status/9 058942177...

I'm not sure how many people on here use snapchat , but if you do, there was a pic of the men's ring posted today on the teams story on their new snapchat account. https://twitter.com/bucknell_mbb/status/9 058681813...

I had no idea that there are conference championship rings. IMO, that is overkill. If they win the NCAA Championship in anything, then, they deserve a ring. Sorry, but that is how I feel.

I have three Basketball championship rings from 92, 93, and 95. I'm sure everyone on here knows that during NONE of those years, did Bucknell go to the NCAA tournament. I greatly appreciated the gesture, and they are treasured keepsakes, but it certainly would have been nice for one of them to say NCAA First Round on them.

I'm with PJM. You earned those memories and you brought fans and classmates a lot of joy doing so. Most importantly, you represented your school in athletic competition amongst league foes and were victorious.

Almost every conference in the NCAA does similar and NAIA too I believe.

I tend to agree. I was a member of four conference championship teams and never received a ring for any of the four. This practice isn't universal for every sport. Personally, I don't want or need a championship ring, but do think it's overkill just for winning a conference championship.

I appreciate the thought, but I was only a student manager. Not that it diminishes the post (as Gmoney would agree). It was quite a ride. Especially that 93 team. The other two teams were underdogs even after a tie for the regular season championship. The 93 team was a special team.
