Haven't really been mentioned here this year, but they have had a very nice year. Tied for 3rd place with a 5-3-1 record after being picked for 6th. Had lost two All-PL players from last year, plus five others who saw regular playing time - so there was a lot of rebuilding to do. This year's team was dominated by sophs and frosh, so there is some hope for the future. Three made 3rd team All-PL: junior Tyler Peterson, soph Nick King, and freshman Matt Thorsheim. Thorsheim, whose brother Chris was one of the top Bison players ever, led the team in scoring despite missing the last 2.5 games with an injury.

Amazingly, the Bison went 2-0-1 against the opponents in the top four, but went 0-3 against teams who finished 5th through 7th. Those were three close road losses. Tonight they face Colgate, one of the teams who beat them, at home. Video is available at 7 PM. The Bison unfortunately have been missing their very good goalie Ryan Ott, who got injured just prior to the Lehigh game, plus Thorsheim plus another starter. Not sure if Thorsheim or Ott can play tonight but I doubt it. Fortunately backup goalie Emmett Witmer has played well.

Thanks for the injury report. This was going to be a rebuilding year with the array of first and second-year men on the field. Patience has paid some big dividends.

Bucknell can take some consolation in the fact that Colgate ran the table to win the PL championship as a 6 seed, including an OT win over regular season champ Loyola.

Colgate continues their amazing post season run taking down #13 Michigan to make the Sweet 16. No shame in having lost to these guys in the PL QF.
