Princeton basketball fans should check out the latest episode of One Shining Podcast "The Sleeping Giants of College Basketball" Part 1 - Princeton is discussed at the 38 minute mark. They get some Ivy League and Princeton basketball history wrong, but they go on to say that "everyone plays the Princeton offense" and "they basically invented modern basketball." Interesting listen. |

That was a bizarre conversation. Pretty surprising that they couldn't remember the UCLA upset in the NCAA tournament, considering that the damn thing is referred to constantly and I think there's even a short ESPN film about it. |

I love that game as much as the next fan, but if they go to that footage of MH jumping for joy one more time during a game broadcast... |

It was strange. Within all the misinformation, they did come out with the idea that everyone plays Princeton basketball. This goes with my line that Princeton doesn’t play the Princeton offense, but everyone plays the Princeton offense. Coach Henderson likes to point out similarities with Golden State. |

For sure. GS on a good night is like the Platonic form of what you would want in a good Princeton offense, right down to the high-post distributor (Green). One thing I especially like that they do better than most is that everybody sets off-ball screens, including Curry, and they often result in the screener getting a great look from three or at the rim. |
