The spread does seem a bit high. A wild card is how fired up the Tigers come out as a result of last weekend's game. Columbia may have to survive an initial high energy effort by the Tigers. Henderson commented on the radio show regarding the challenge of defending Meisner based on his inside/out game. Asst Coach Ettin talked about the challenges of guarding PG Smith. It will be interesting to see who Stephens will guard as Meisner maybe to big and Smith to small. Danger is that Columbia is pretty good on offense and shoot a lot of 3 pointers. Their defense and toughness remains a question mark from prior years. Tigers really need to be focused for both games this weekend. |

Feel like MH was reading my comments. PU showing some old-school offense with the ball going from passers Gladson and Arirguzoh to cutters. Hard cuts by Cannady, Schweger, and Stephens in the first few minutes. Love it. |

Up 27-13 with 8:45 left in first half. Out treying and outpassing CU. Gladson with a couple of blocks, Stephens with one. Good start. |

39-21 with 3:39 left in the first half. Except for a couple of sloppy passes, lots and lots of good possessions for the Tigers offensively. If they shoot 9-15 from three in a half and force more turnovers than they commit, good things will happen. Columbia looks overmatched but things could change. |

54-29 early in the second half. Princeton has doubled up Columbia three times so far, including in the second half. Gladson with a three, Much with some awesome touch passes through traffic, Bell with a spectacular driving layup. A few too many open treys given up, but the Lions aren't hitting them. |

The end of the bench lets the CU starters cut the deficit to a more-respectable 72-56, but it was a 25-point lead with just a couple of minutes left. Will hurt on Pomeroy, but good to see appearances by some little-seen faces. |

Great D on the Lions' main scorers. Meisner 0-4, Smith 3-14 (although 6-6 from the FT line) with 4 TOs to go with 4 assists. Tigers still too sloppy with the ball, but 17 assists on 24 FGs eases the pain. Also nice: Only allowed CU to rebound 1/4 of their missed FGs. But going 15-31 on threes while allowing only 6-23 is the telling stat. |

Terrific game by Much, maybe the best I've seen this year. Not only shooting, but moving the ball and being involved in the play positively. Even a bit better looking defensively. Great to see a Gladson revival--except for a couple of TOs his short appearance was near-perfect. Loved what Aririguzoh added in the first half with his passing, seeming to get the whole team going on that end, while providing energetic D. Felt like Bell would have forced the issue more if he thought he needed to, because they really didn't have anybody to stay in front of him. Very good all-around game. DC was himself, which is always good. Stephens really worked on defense and was smart about not forcing the issue offensively when his teammates were on fire. Very pleasant home performance overall in terms of both effort and fluidity of play. |

Great job taking care of business at home. This was the first game where Gladson looked fully healthy and in game shape, and it was a huge boost on both ends. He's like our Andrew Bogut/Steven Adams -- a big body to box out, contest shots, set screens, make good passes and dribble handoffs. Prevents us from getting crushed inside as we usually do. Much continues to grow as a player, flashing the defense today as well. He might not be the best athlete, but his timing and anticipation are very good. |

Agree but Columbia is not a very good team. Meisner foul trouble hurt them and Smith had a brutal game. Castilin??? Adlesh plays hard and with heart. Big difference in talent level plus Tiger hit their 3 pt shots in the 1st half. Rebound win after the poor performance at the Palestra. Tiger big 3 got some rest for Cornell. |

Definitely better defensive and offensive performance by Tiger bigs although they did not go against good bigs tonight. It seemed like Cannady, Bell and Stephens did not have to go at 105%. It was good to see Cannady get nominated for the Player of the Year for Mid-Majors "Henson Award". Oni and Morgan were also nominated. Cannady's offensive game keeps get more versatile. Headed to be the 2nd highest all time scorer in Princeton history. Between Cannady and Allarie -- special talents -- possible top 5 players in program history. |

Nice rebound from the Penn game. Defense was very good. When the offense is focused, cutting, passing and taking good shots, the Tigers are beautiful to watch. A few times they got sloppy, taking poor shots, tossing wild passes, etc. but they were in complete control of this game from start to finish. Great game from all the starters and Jerome was draining threes off the bench. Richmond's back-to-back backdoor passes in first half were a thing of beauty. Very encouraging bounce back from uninspired game last Saturday. |

Going back to the good discussion of old and new type of Princeton centers, I think Gladson, if healthy, is the answer - old school passer from the high post or 3 pt line, respectable outside shooter, sets good screens, has a baby hook in low post. And has the bulk to keep from getting pushed under the basket on defense. I think we tend to forget how inexperienced he is. I expect to see him get steadier, more reliable as he gets more minutes I missed the beginning tonight, but I have to disagree with the assessment that he’s back healthy. Late in the first half I really thought he was dragging one leg around, and was yelling for Mitch to take him out. Still, if the point is, good to see him back, I couldn’t agree more. I just hope whatever treatment he’s getting gets results. I know Princeton fans have a lot of angst about the Kit Mueller position, I think it’s in good hands with Gladson for next couple years. Knock on wood. |

Cannady's offensive game keeps get more versatile. Headed to be the 2nd highest all time scorer in Princeton history. At 18.4 ppg (current season average) and two postseason games per year, I have Cannady on pace for 1844 career points. That would put him eighth all-time in the Ivy books (well ahead of Hummer for Princeton's #2). He's obviously been a great scorer but I didn't realize how great. |

For Alarie, top 5 would be a huge let down. She is poised to have better numbers and a better eye test than Sandi Bittler and Niveen and Blake. It would be shocking if she doesn’t leave Princeton as the greatest women’s player in program history. Only injury would prevent Cannady from leaving as the #2 men’s scorer. Though one has to wonder what another year of Brian Taylor or two years of Chris Young would have looked like. |

I missed the beginning tonight, but I have to disagree with the assessment that he’s back healthy. Late in the first half I really thought he was dragging one leg around, and was yelling for Mitch to take him out. Still, if the point is, good to see him back, I couldn’t agree more. I just hope whatever treatment he’s getting gets results Ah, guess I was wrong about that. I tuned into the video feed and figured Mitch was keeping him fresh with a big lead. In his earlier 3 stints, he only played 7m and made no impact, so it was night-and-day to see him impact both ends for 16m tonight. Hopefully, this means he's slowly coming back. If this is 50% Will, I'd like to see 100%. |
