Trivia fun fact: Rowan's Ryan Legler the son of former 3PT NBA expert/ current espn commentator Chris Legler. Can't be easy for a son to have that family rep to live up to. |

You mean Tim Legler. Saw him play at the Palestra a bunch of times when he was at LaSalle. A real sharpshooter. |

Always thought he should have been on the bowling team so the student newspaper could have a headline featuring "kegler Legler." |

Should not be playing this game as a team could get into bad habits. Only worthwhile element is you can practice 3 pt shooting, 10-20 1st half with many swishes. After watching the 1st half, there is a reason why the starters are the starters. There is also very good reason that Desrosiers gets the minutes vs. Schweiger when it counts. Schweiger continues to be very sloppy with passing - slow lazy passes. Gladson sitting out due to illness - somewhat surprising, they do need Gladson on the court for the rest of the year. Cannady scored 10 pts without trying. Tigers will need to ride the backs of Cannady, Stephens, Bell, Much, Gladson, Desrosiers and Arirguzoh with Schweiger and Young as last resorts for the next five games. |

Schwieger has proven to be the best cutter without the ball on the team, gives decent defense, and has not seemed very TO prone to me during regular games (19 in 268 minutes isn't great--about one every 14 minutes--but not terrible). |

Arirguzoh, Much and Schweiger have the highest turnover ratio on a y-t-d basis including yesterday. Schwieger now has 23 turnovers in 292 minutes. In fairness, all three of these guys are young players and sometimes, they try to do too much with the ball although Arirguzoh and Much both have a higer assist ratio than Schweiger. Ruam also has the lowest FG % 42% and 3pt % 23% of the top 7 players and shoots 65% on the FT line. He does steal the ball and rebounds well although he is foul prone. He has talent and they will need him during the stretch of 5 games in 9 days but I do not think that Mitch will have him on the floor at crunch time. He will be a contributor down the road but I think that the coaching staff will need to continue to work with him. Savage mentioned that he will probably play as a big guard for the remainder of his Tiger career vs. being a forward although I think that he can play both and may be a 6th man next year. |

That sounds about right. But it should be noted that a number of Aririguzoh's assists have been on backdoor cuts by Schwieger--the two of them seem to have some chemistry. |

Looked like Coach H was using this game to see how Schwieger would do playing guard. If Cannady is getting a breather, Tigers can choose to play very big with Bell and Schweiger in the backcourt. Doubtful he's going to get a lot of PT unless Bell gets into foul trouble. And by next year, even with Bell and Young graduating, best Schwieger can hope for is first guard off the bench with Llewellyn coming in. |

Based on post-game comments, Henderson apparently let the players have a piece of his mind at halftime based on their sloppy, lackadaisical play. He also gave Arirguzoh a tough time as to missing FT shots after complimenting him for his play on Sunday. On his radio show last Tuesday, he ribbed Stephens about taking his first charge as a Tiger. My sense is that he tries to keep these guys on edge. Not sure if the players love him but they appear to listen to him and the coaching staff most of the time. |

Arirguzoh was on the radio show and Henderson talked about the importance of Arirguzoh stepping up and playing up to his potential. Coach recognizes that there is considerable upside with Arirguzoh. He does have court awareness skills for a big guy who picked up basketball late. Coach talked about the weekend and the possibility that Makai Mason may show up and play which could give Yale a spark. It seemed like he is equally concerned about both games this weekend based on Brown's improved play. He stated that the boys are ready to play the next stretch of 5 games but the usual coach talk as to one game at a time. |

Very different types of players and situations, but in recent years we've seen Justin Conway and Pawel Buczak move to the top of the depth charts unexpectedly. If Aririguzoh can keep developing into a Brendan Connolly type, he's going to help win a bunch of games. |

Connolly played much bigger on D but had nothing like the offensive skills of Aririguzoh. |

Agree. Connolly could certainly set impressive picks but he was not a good passer like Arirguzoh and he did not have good post moves but he was a very wide body and could not get muscled near the basket. He played a really good game against Kentucky in the tournament when the Tigers lost right at the end of the game. He manned up. Arirguzoh has much potential and it will be interesting how Henderson shares minutes with Gladson over the next two years -- very different skill sets. I only hope that Coach has one of them on the court with Much at PF vs. C. |
