Game is at 6:30, on NBC Sports Philly Plus in the Delaware Valley, ILN otherwise. As others pointed out, the abuse dealt out to H and D by both of the P's this weekend likely means that the race for 1st, at least, should be between us and them. Keys to tonight are: --We have to shoot well from 3 to keep the Tigers from being able to sag down on Nwokedi and Parker all the time as they did in the 1st match. Nwokedi's getting hot from behind the arc lately would help if she can keep it up. --Got to play better interior defense; in particular, they need to figure out a way to at least limit Alarie down there. --Speaking of Miss Thing, Penn needs to be a lot smarter about trying to challenge her. I hope to see a lot of penetrating and then kicking out to open 3 shooters. Penn's definitely playing a lot better than they were the first time; I think part of the problem was that they played a bunch of scrubby teams before the break, and they weren't prepared for the sudden jump in talent. Hopefully, the wins against Nova, Temple, and the other Ivies will have them better prepared this time.

Princeton 18-15 after one. We're not moving the ball as well as the past couple of games, but they're doing better scoring inside. Alarie still getting much too free for my liking.

Tigers 34-20 at half. Princeton started playing the ball very aggressively, and they coughed it up a lot. Also, too many drives into the lane without a good idea of what they're doing, and too much standing still in the post. Parker's still hasn't figured out how to beat Alarie consistently yet. Thank goodness Princeton's not shooting particularly well from 3, or this would be out of hand already.

Tigers enjoyed a nice run without Alarie on the floor. Meyers now playing up to all the hype. Hardly played in first game. |

Tigers 46-37 after 3. We've gotten more aggressive on defense ourselves and it's helping, but we still can't score consistently inside and no one's able to get open for 3's.

60-40 final. One other problem is that they:re crashing the boards very aggressively and we're not responding well to it. Well, still a lot of work to do. May have to hope that Princeton plays Yale in the first round of the abomination. More when I see the box score.

Robinson with 10 assists! Are you lost? It's almost like you don't have your own message board game thread... |

All he needs to do is go over to the Princeton board and see how Penn posters responded after sweeping the regular season series with the men.

It's their sense of entitlement. Why should he be bothered to think about whether posting something like that on the Penn board might be over the line. Just like the Princeton couple who decided to start the second half of our first game by sitting in the Penn chairback section and then loudly "woo" after each made basket. Needless to say, that one didn't last too long. |

As far as I’m concerned you are all welcomed to post on our board. Lord knows there are Penn posters who have no qualms about putting their two cents on other teams boards. Last night was a debacle for the Penn women. Princeton was good. We were awful. Obviously Princeton impacted Penn’s performance, but still ..... |

Couldn't buy a shot. Obviously Princeton's D was a factor; but tons of missed open threes & layups (not blocked or intimidated by Alarie). \ Jadwin George is welcome, a knowledgable, class commentator on IHO. |

As a Penn fan who has been treated well on other teams' boards, I welcome JadwinGeorge's comments. JG's posts are done with genuine sincerity and excitement. No matter his personal allegiance, he is a fan of good basketball. If last night's roles were reversed, I am certain that he would have been gracious in his comments about the individual and/or the team. |

Thanks for that. It is about the game, however much I support the Tigers. Last week on IHO I discussed the men's game. Paraphrasing myself, "if it didn't hurt so much I would really enjoy watching this Penn team because they are playing so well." When a post player gets 10 assists before she scored a point it deserves a mention. |

When a post player gets 10 assists before she scored a point it deserves a mention. Agreed. But probably best from etiquette purposes if that comment goes on the Princeton board if done immediately after the game. And most certainly without an exclamation point if on the Penn board at all. |
