https://twitter.com/cbitourney/status/973 015545028... Pretty horrific field. Colgate is also bracketed with west coast teams. I guess it is their Spring Break but still a lot of travel in a pay to play tourney. |

Yes, horrible field. I think there are six teams ranked worse than 200th in the country.

There are four WAC teams in this tourney. That conference is banking on these post-season opportunities to build. Good for Colgate to invest. |

According to a dude on Twitter, the other doozie, the CIT, has 20 teams this year, down from 26 last year and 32 a few years ago. How is the CBI trending? |

The quality of the field is not very good however. One factor that may allow them to get 16 teams willing to pay to play is that it is run by the Gazelle Group, who also sponsors three early-season multi-team events. If the CBI is having trouble filling its field, I imagine they could offer a team a spot in the 2K or Legends Classic or whatever in exchange for them playing in the CBI.

Colgate up 15-12 with 3 min left in the first half. Seems like neither team wants to be playing. |

Colgate ended up losing by 4 points. That's a long trip - over 20 hours round-trip - to play in a third tier event.
