This Chicago Tribune article focuses on Ciaran Brayboy, who recently committed to Harvard for the fall of 2019, but also mentions his New Trier High School teammate, Spencer Boehm. http://www.chicagotribune.com/suburbs/winnetka/spo... Boehm is the younger brother of Dartmouth's Connor Boehm ('12-'16; 1,110 + career points) and Harvard's Jeannie Boehm ('16 - present; 2nd team All-Ivy in '17'-'18). In the article, Spencer, a 6' 8" PF, mentions that his top two choices are Dartmouth and Columbia. |

Back in July, Spencer Boehm, the younger brother of Connor Boehm, had mentioned that his top two choices were Dartmouth and Columbia. However, he committed to Washington University of St. Louis. https://twitter.com/i/web/status/10457429 849842401... |

He went DIII. Did we pull our offer? I guess not everyone needs to play Division I basketball. That's a big turnaround from this article in April when he was was considering the Ivy league. Spencer Boehm

Add another 2019 commit for Dartmouth, Jayden Reaves from Brooklyn. With the commits and the transfer, and if everyone returns, I think we should see noticeable improvement next season. |

It's been pretty quiet on our board. So here is another recruit for this thread posts. Cameron Krystowiak - verbal commits Cameron Krystkowiak is a talented 2019 power forward who plays for Northfield Mount Hermon high school in Salt Lake City, Utah. He is 6-10 190 with great basketball instincts and great shot from long range. He plays for Exum Elite in the AAU circuit and has averaged 7.2 points and 3 rebounds while shooting 61 percent from the field and 37 percent from the field in 4 games. His dad former, a 6’10 220 power forward, played 9 productive seasons in the NBA. I talked with him about his recruitment and what it was like to be raised by an NBA dad. LJ: What teams are recruiting you the hardest? Cam: Right now it’s Dartmouth, Columbia, Brown, Cornell, Holy Cross, and Utah that are recruiting me the hardest. LJ: What has your father taught you about the game of basketball that has helped you evolve to the player you are now? Cam: I think a big thing he has taught me is how to be resilient. Especially my first few years of high School when I wasn’t playing any varsity minutes. LJ: What visits have you been impressed with? Cam: I have only been on two official visits so far. Brown and Dartmouth each impressed me in their own unique ways. LJ: What visits do you have scheduled? Cam: I am planning an official visit to Columbia after Christmas break LJ: What offers do you have? Cam: Right now I hold offers from UMASS, Dartmouth, and Brown. LJ: What were your stats last season? Cam: I want to say 19 pts, 8 rebs, 3 assists, 1 block LJ: What were the stats of your best game in AAU? Cam: I 23 pts, 8rbs, 3assists LJ: What was it like growing up with an NBA dad? Cam: It has been amazing to be exposed to both college and NBA basketball from a young age and to grow up learning from someone who is so knowledgeable in the game. I have been lucky enough to travel with my dad’s teams and play with the guys which have benefited my game tremendously. LJ: What NBA players have you met? Any that are close with you? Cam: I have met quite a few just because of my dad’s connections with the league, but Delon Wright, Jakob Poeltl, and Kyle Kuzma are my guys for sure. LJ: What sons of NBA players are you close with? Cam: Honestly there aren’t many that I know well, but I grew up playing with and against Nico Mannion, whose dad played in the league for a few years. LJ: What are you looking for in a program to commit to? Cam: I want to go somewhere where I know I will be able to get the most out of my potential on the basketball court, in addition to a good education that will help me to find success when the ball stops bouncing. 👆 This is why he chose us!

Who do you like most in our incoming class? As I said earlier in this thread, I'm no expert on basketball recruiting. I really don't see any guy that looks like he's going to be three-time All Ivy. What I do see is that we are bringing in several guys who had multiple offers elsewhere. I think that we should all acknowledge that we're not going to be able to beat other Ivy teams straight up athletically. That's been true for a long time. What I do hope is that these guys can play well in a system or at least as a team. We came very close to having a decent season, with too many close losses. Hopefully these new players can help us get over the hump. |
