Mids seem to be a strength of this team, and in an era of positionless basketball, having this profile of guys that can go inside and out feels like the right innovation for this team. Amidst the struggles recruiting more traditional bigs, the staff has done well to get some 6’4-6’6 guys with reach and athleticism. You could put any of Dez, Obi, Mitchell or Choh at anywhere from the 2-4 depending on the lineup. Plus you’ve got Howard who could step out as the 3 in some lineups. Can’t recall a lot of Brown teams that have that core of versatility. And you hope it allows Brown to overcome the challenges of recruiting athletic bigs. Imagine the quickness in a lineup that featured Anderson, Dez, Obi, Choh and Howard. Five athletes with good length for their size, tons of quickness, and five guys who can drive to the basket. For a team without a ton of good three point shooting, they will have to be able to get the ball to the rim - and a lineup like this should theoretically allow that. T is the guy who allows it to come together. His ability to man the pivot at 6’5 enables a lot.

Amen! If we are to be competitive in the IL, we need to be different. I doubt we can out recruit HYP for 4 star bigs on a regular basis . |

Au contraire, mon frer. I'm pretty happy with Gladson (if he can stay healthy) and Aririguzoh. In fact, I'd like to see a bit more old-school running of the offense through the post with those guys. |

The Princeton guys just don't understand how out-classed they are up front. And their two guys who are all-league caliber cannot stand up to playing 35 minutes a game just to be competitive. The loss of Bell will really hurt them---he was one of their 3 guys who played 35 minutes a game. I like Brown for that 4th playoff spot above Princeton. And after next year, Princeton loses the 2 remaining holdovers from that great team over 3 prior years with Weicz, Cook, Caruso and Brase. Those guys haven't been replaced. |

In each of the coach's first two years (2012-2013 and 2013-2014), Brown went 7-7 and came in fourth place. In the last four years, Brown has been 4-10 three times and 3-11 once. The last three seasons, they have been 2-3 after the first five games and then ended up 3-11, 4-10 and 4-10. There's no doubt that there have been a lot of talented players at Brown over these years. While the fast pace style is exciting, does it wear these guys down by the middle or end of league play? |

Their three best players were underclassmen and there was a huge dropoff in talent after the starting lineup. I just think they got worn down. After they played the P-P weekend and went into overtime in both, then followed with another OT the next weekend against Columbia, they fell apart. Experience and a little more talent and they won't fall apart. |

If I were a Brown fan, I'd be optimistic. There's a good amount of talent in the program. And they can score a lot of points (although I believe offensive efficiency wasn't so great last season). The big question is defense. Until that aspect improves, I don't think Brown will be able to stake out a consistent presence in the top half of the conference. |

Wonder why defense isn't strong. Cho/DeWolf/Howard/Fuller should be a respectable defensive frontcourt. Are the guards two-way players? Triplett and Hunsaker were primarily shooters, but they've graduated. They certainly have guards who are athletic and long enough. |

I think you’re confusing your players, but you’re right their defense stinks more than it should. They’ve been particularly bad a few years running in defending both the paint and the three point line. Not sure why. Dead last in eFG defense two seasons ago.

Hunsaker did not graduate, Tripplet didn't play last year, only Massey graduated. |
