The schedule does have a certain flavor to it- it's been quite some time since Columbia's played on the Fordham campus in The Bronx; at Madison Square Garden; or at Rutgers Athletic Center in New Jersey. |

Looking at the different Ivy teams, it would appear that December 9th at Madison Square Garden is the MSG Holiday Festival with both Columbia and Princeton in action. Columbia vs Iona Princeton at St. John's |

People should really try to get to the Iona game. Ticket sales help determine who gets invited back and it would be nice to have an MSG game each season. |

Interesting point, Clyde- which could explain why Columbia hasn't competed in the Holiday Festival since 1975. When I use the word "competed", it's the loose version- in '75, theLions came up against the last undefeated NCAA D-1 mens' basketball team: the Indiana Hoosiers, featuring 5 future NBA players and the legendary Bob Knight as coach. Indiana won that tournament at MSG, on their way to winning the NCAA tournament 3 months later. |

rbg - thanks for posting. Greatly appreciated. Looks like several of the local rivalry games are dropped. I always liked those on the schedule because they tended to be more intense. |
