Princeton's a 6.5 point favorite this evening over the Black Bears; they shall cover that number, receiving a typical solid contribution from Mr. Cannady in the process. Do enjoy the game!

Just to satisfy my curiosity: Bangor is 8 hours from Princeton by car. Does the basketball team bus up and back? Did they leave this AM and come back overnight?

I just read that the University of Oklahoma men's golf team travels by private jet, I guess so as to miss as little classroom time as possible.

Princeton flew commercially from Newark to Bangor for tonight's game.

So they are confined to the single flight back tomorrow. But at least no long bus ride!

36-25 Princeton at ht. Cannady hot from 3 against an uninspiring Maine team. We don’t look so hot ourselves against an 0-6 team. Too much one on one by Tigers.

Maine coached by former Princeton women’s coach.

Princeton leads Maine 36-25 at the half. The Tigers shot 8-14 on three pointers. Cannady and Schwieger had 8 pts, Stephens 7 and DesRosiers 5. Still a few too many turnovers...

I disagree with Tiger69--I see a lot more ball and player movement, some three-man stuff and some crisp return passes, unlike the previous games. Shots are more in rhythm. Frustrating off-ball offensive fouls and missed FTs. Schweger playing pretty well. Cannady scaring the children with his range.

Defense is pretty good. Forcing some turnovers and getting mileage out of the zone, getting some shot-blocking at the rim.

It would be nice to be blowing these guys out, but given where the team has been, one step at a time. Got to finish strong in the second half.

I should have said that this is the first game I’ve seen this year. I am eager to see what Llewellyn can add to this team. They still look pretty raw.

This team is still painful to watch, but tonight they took care of business thanks to: 1) Cannady canning 3s like Steph Curry 2) Active hands and feet on defense; guys closing out outside and collapsing on bigs inside. Still a lot of miscues but at least the effort is there.

The big problem seems pretty clear to me. Right now, this team has only ONE ballhandler who isn't constantly on the brink of a TO -- Cannady. If Jaelin Llewellyn is even average, that's going to make this team exponentially better. If he's better than that (as advertised), we could look a lot better very quickly.

I refuse to believe a team with this much proven talent is this bad. I think they just look terrible due to the early injuries to Cannady and Llewellyn -- they're totally disorganized on offense, leading to Joe Scott flashbacks. Help us, Jaelin Llewellyn, you're our only hope!

Maine plays hard but they are certainly not an overly athletic or gifted team. This game should have been a lay up even with the Tigers playing poorly over the past 3 games.

I was concerned that we might have been put a hex on Cannady with all of the crazy talk on this forum but Devin had good kharma tonight. He is now taking 25 ft+ shots and swishing them.

GW is a more athletic team followed by a very athletic team, St. Joe's and then onto St. John's at the Garden, followed by Duke and Arizona State.

The best news was pre-game interview with Mitch that Jaelin is getting close and he looked much better walking around this evening. It would have been nice if he got his introduction against lesser competition but it is what it is. He is really needed to penetrate and dish, preferably to Cannady if a team is foolish enough not to guard him.

Cannady was ridiculous again. The announcers were laughing about the part of the Maine logo he was standing on when he swished one of his bombs. Also lethal at the FT line (although the last couple hit the inside of the rim and rattled before going down--he's getting sloppy).

The smaller Maine players were fairly helpless when Gladson or Stephens or Aririguzoh backed them down into the post. That won't be the case going forward--the schedule now looks like that Bruce Lee movie where he moved through a series of rooms facing successively scarier opponents culminating in Kareem Abdul Jabbar.

Pre-game radio interview with Henderson. Did not know if it was coaches' talk but he did look much better moving around on the bench without his hair.

It should be interesting to see if he is that good although I am a little concern after watching the highly rated Harveard PG freshman's performance although Kirkwood is a beast and a man for a freshmen.

He's only played a very small sample of three games, but Cannady is currently #3 among all D1 players with a True Shooting Percentage of 82.0%. Yale's Azar Swain is #2 at 84.3%.

Took 10 shots tonight and scored 28 points. 37 shots over 3 games by Devin and he has scored 70 points. Imagine if he took 18 to 20 shots tonight.

Unfortunately, he will not be able to keep up this pace.

Arirguzoh very good game not so for Myles or Morales.

GW lost at home last night by double digits to a so-so Vermont squad, from a league a step or 2 below the A-10.

A must win because the next 2 weeks don't look promising.

GW is an athletic team with not very good shooting y-t-d. They have one good 3 pt shooter but three good athletic players without much of a bench. It will be a good matchup to prepare the Tigers for a very good athletic shooting St. Joe's club followed by an extremely athletic talented St. John's team.

tigers tend not to fare as well against the athletic teams. Although all IL games may be a challenger Yale and Harvard may be a particular challenge due to their level of athleticism. They will need Llewellyn anbd Arirguzoh on the floor to survive.

Ask Yale if that Vermont team you reference is just a so-so opponent.

Any time that loses at home as a double-digit favorite to Bucknell is so-so in my book.

The Bison will be lucky to win a dozen games this season.

And if I were Yale I'd take a long, hard look at Vermont's struggle tonight with lowly Towson State.
