Another tough loss for Cornell, in short, poor 3 point shooting and coaching. Cornell shot 14% from 3, and are now at 26% from 3 after 8 games. Time to run some new stuff on offense, Lafayette had them scouted and Cornell’s continual look for backdoor cuts and dribble handoffs were futile. Plays at end of each half summed up the game, end of first half Cornell had the ball with 13 seconds to go and called time out. O’Hanlon switches from man to man to a 1-3-1 zone and Cornell ends up throwing up a desperation 3 as time runs out. End of the game, Cornell down 3, and Boeheim has the ball ready to take a long three and Cornell calls a time out with one second to go. Cornell can’t get the ball in and calls another time out and finally gets the ball in and throws up another desperation shot. Not sure if Earl signaled for the first time out or if a player called it. If it was Earl, I don’t really know what to say. |

Everyone on the roster now is an Earl recruit and more closely resembles a DIII than a DI team. |

100-68 final as Cornell couldn't miss in the second half. Noll and Dolan had big games, but it was just a D3 school, so who knows what it means. At least it wasn't a disaster. |

https://twitter.com/NSolly02/status/12146 864208053... Out with a sprained ankle. Imagine he'll sit the next D3 game too to get healthy for IL play. Hard to find D1 teams who'll play OOC games this late in the season, so I guess Cornell didn't want to go 11 days between this game and their Columbia game. Still, gonna be almost 3 weeks since their last D1 game which is tough |

Elmira College was added to the schedule right after NYD. I'd totally missed it and wondered why Barry mentioned there was one more out of conference game. The press release says it is a replacement for the Towson game that was canceled back in December. You have to think Earl also didn't like the long lay-off and, as WTTJ says, it is hard to find opponents this late in the season. Elmira is just 1-10 and will be playing their third game in four days. |

Just like DI, big difference between top, middle, and lower DIII schools. Purchase in middle of the road DIII school. I really do believe that the majority of Cornell's roster are more similar to high DIII players than low DI players |

But no one got hurt. |
