Opens at Princeton +1 O/U 146 1/2 A tricky spot for the Tigers. |

Tigers up five late in the first half. No Tosan tonight, but they are finding all kinds of air in the Monmouth D. Poor job on the defensive glass, with Monmouth snaring many ORs. Hooks looking good on O, but having trouble on D, including getting a tech for flopping. |

Up 7 at the half, 8-17 3FGs and excellent ball movement and spacing so far. Wright and Jaelin leasing the way with 13 apiece. Any explanation for Tosun’s absence? |

A few frustrating turnovers down the stretch, but some very attractive offense from the Tigers. Lots of movement, some gorgeous give-and-go action, ball zipping from side to side, drives and pretty finishes galore. Analytics fiends should appreciate the almost complete absence of mid-range shot attempts. |

Oof. They're getting crushed in the 2nd half. Tosan's absence has turned this into a track meet, which favors Monmouth. They're gonna need something special to come back. |

Would like to see the Tigers try the full court press. Half court defense getting blitzed. |

Tiger D has not matched Monmouth's intensity in 2H, at least so far |

A bad defensive game was overdue, especially some 3P%-allowed regression, so whatever I guess. Frustrating to see Jaelin consistently late on several close-outs in a row. |

Monmouth switched to a trapping defense in the second half, and it's working. I wish PU would do the same--they need to disrupt the Hawks more. Rant: the ESPN3 feed is low-quality, with frequent freezes and green screens leading to missing the action. (No problem with the commercials, though). |

Is it me or is the score incorrect? Martini's layup (and missed and-1) at the 14:36 mark isn't showing on the official boxscore. And the radio guys seemed to have forgot about it too. |

Well, that was an NBA play in Monmouth County. Probably sealed the deal right there. |

Disappointing fold, that started when the Tigers went up 14 late in the first half. Not terribly surprising that they came back down to Earth tonight after three P-5 games and lots of travel. |

I have switched to the radio feed with Derek and Noah, green screens were driving me crazy. First sub-par effort of the season for the Tigers and it has all been in 2H, everything has fallen apart on both sides of the court. |

No Tosan, no win. End of story. Monmouth has a good team this year and they know us really, really well. On one hand, I'm not worried because of that. On the other hand, this is exactly the kind of game that would be a good Ivy prep game. Instead they got humiliated in the 2nd half after leading by 14 in the first half. Such a bummer of a game. We can't afford to lose either Jaelin or Tosan - the team completely collapses on both ends. |

A bit of overreaction, I think. Hawks up 6 with about 7:30 left. |

Seems like Mitch never got into this game either. After hearing his booming voice through the SC, MN and Oregon State games, I don’t think Ive heard him yelling at all tonight. First game of the season (?) without attempting full court press. Hopefully they get back on track with the next game. |

A bit of overreaction, I think. Hawks up 6 with about 7:30 left. The video feed is 30m slow. The game is over - Monmouth won by 12. Our guys made 1 garbage time layup in the last 8:30. |

I agree that the offensive drought at the end was even more of a problem than the D breakdowns. |

On KenPom, Princeton is now at 151 while Monmouth is at 165. Go figure. |
