IvyHoopsOnline reported it and also said that the Bulldogs will take on Gonzaga this season. Haven’t been able to find any other confirmation, but as you said, potentially huge for the Bulldogs. |

Not directing to you specifically but rather towards the implicit disbelief on the topic of this thread line it’s like me reading abt what James is going to do from a penn fan quoting a rumor mill Some ppl just know more. sometimes they are big boosters. i guess I don’t think he is the missing link right now anyway Need development from the bigs including baby joker I saw mbeng at Kenner league and he banged some 3s So outside shooting + development of the bigs |

also worth noting bez played on the winning Kenner league team Changed a bit since my time playing Now a pro am he had some nba journeymen and the guard from duke on his squad in the final In general he showcased his size and speed against high d1ish caliber guards Hopefully he works hard to build the multilevel scoring game to go with it. but you can’t teach what he has and it got obscured against Purdue bc they baited him on the perimeter You can’t replace swain but hopefully these perimeter guys can all step up leading to a more well rounded offense I like the bigs. but really hope basa ama and baby joker can step up. The latter also has a unique skill set esp given he is now 7’ 250. I assume Jarvis will show out |

Another big pick up for James Jones: C Samson Aletan (Lake Highlands HS) - 6'9", 200 This guy had offers from all of the big Texas schools - Houston, Texas Tech, Texas A&M, UT Austin - and James Jones managed to get him anyway. He's put together a fantastic class. Looks like Yale will continue to reload. |

i heard there were some complications with the transfer as of early September. it could be with admissions. But I have no color if it was resolved and if he enrolled. I don’t know. |

need to ask a current player when I can if he is enrolled but I find it odd he isn’t on roster even if he doesn’t play this year. So I assume either it didnt work due to admissions or financial aid Or he is taking time off mandated or not which means he isn’t enrolled but will. But the only color I received could indicate either is the case and it’s 5 weeks old |

The only public reporting on it (Ivyhoopsonline) had said he would be coming in ‘23-‘24. While the rules don’t require the year off, there could be lots of reasons why. He could be taking a year off for various personal reasons. There could be a basketball related reason involving roster/admissions spots, etc., that could mean he needs to wait a year. It actually seems least likely that he would be enrolled and taking a year off from playing, since that would run his Ivy clock. Though I guess he could be thinking ahead to a grad transfer, and only planning to play two years at Yale. |
